Hmm.. it could be considered a bug.. but since it's on emulators.. the rally for a patch of some (or solution) sort may not be made until more concrete data is collected (from what kind of emulators, cards, last point saved, etc.).
If it's through the original (physical) cartridge and more cases come up.. then there should be more concern on the quality overall.

True, In my case I'm playing the game on the original DS console, and I haven't experienced any problems, as of yet. Of course, keep in mind that I don't play the DS on a regular basis.

Whatever it may be it's annoying but rare.... So no problem, unless you don't backup your saves...
