Writing an article on cartoons and youth. If you could be so kind as to answer these questions as thoroughly as possible, I'd be so grateful!

Name: Age and/or grade: 20, third year of college Do you write fanfictions (Any series)? Not at all. I'd rather write originals. Do you draw fanart (Any series)? I suck at drawing Do you RP (Any series)? I used to for a series I made myself.
Do you watch cartoons regularly? (Well, duh, you're in an A:TLA Guild.) Do you feel that it's a juvenile habit?
Yes, I like animation. I'm into anime and I still like cartoons in general. I don't think is juvenile per se. Seriously, how many stupid shows are there with stupid people? Same with movies. At least with cartoons you usually learn about animation as you watch the stupid thing.
Also cartoons can be as deep, if not deeper, than most "human" series. Plus a cartoon can get away with anything and not look fake. I don't have to think "This is so ridiculous!" like when i watched something like Charmed. XD
Do you look forward to watching one or more cartoons weekly? I look forward to watching the episodes of Avatar, that's it. I used to also look forward to watching lovely complex, but that series is over.
Why do you like A:TLA? Any other cartoons that you like for the same (or similar) reasons?
The plot is pretty standard for me. You know: "Chosen one must save the world who is in the brink of destruction with the power of friendship. PS: The chosen one barely hit puberty and is most likely to develop a crush on the first female he sees and stick to it forever regardless of the fact he is too young"
I like the characters. For me Toph and Azula make the show. I also like seeing their special abilities.
And, since I don't know if anime counts, I say "foster's..." I just love Madame foster, Mac, and Coco above all. I love seeing what each friend can do (specially Coco)
Anything else about cartoons that you like? What and why?
I just like the animation. People look the same (unless we're in sci-fi, fantasy territory) but there's something unique about drawings that I just like. It talks about so many people beyond just the character.
Mind you I like People movies and series too. I just think cartoons are ageless. I've seen women on their 40's watching Tom and Jerry and play pacman just because they're such a classic..
(If you have any other statements that would make for good quote-age, it'd be nice to hear it.)

I did my best in the grammar department. It's 10pm so my brain is pretty much off right about now. If you have any more questions you want to ask me just pm them. Also my nationality is puertorican. I don't know if nationality would help you with your article, but just in case

Name: Tyler llewellyn Age and/or grade: 21, some college Do you write fanfictions (Any series)?Yes, Avatar, and naruto(befor it got huge) Do you draw fanart (Any series)?Nope no skill for it despite trying to learn Do you RP (Any series)? No, though thought about Avatar RP
Do you watch cartoons regularly? Not so much cartoons but if you count Anime as a cartoon, then yes, if you dont them somewhat, I watch Avatar, teen titans, ben 10 sometimes,
Do you feel that it's a juvenile habit? not really, with how cartoons are becoming less childish.
Do you look forward to watching one or more cartoons weekly?Yes, very much so, its troublesome when I have to work the same time as avatar being on
Why do you like A:TLA? Any other cartoons that you like for the same (or similar) reasons? Avatar has its kiddie moments, and then it has its moments with real emotion I mean Aang has a complex about being gone for the 100 years, and people are dead, not in another world but dead and dieing. I mean jet gets killed by a rock! Its pretty real from any other show on nick. Its not like they get hit on the head by a frying pan and haha funny and everything ok. what they do and don't do affect them, and they have to deal with what is happening to them and around them.
Anything else about cartoons that you like? What and why? Well, good one's, your watching other "people" dealing with things and when watching them you think "I wonder what I'd do if something like happen to me, or a friend..." so for it to be good for me, it has to make you think.
(If you have any other statements that would make for good quote-age, it'd be nice to hear it.)If its doesn't make you think, wonder, or intrigued, don't wast your time

Name: Chris Age and/or grade: 23, Grad. Student (yes, grad. student ^_^ ) Do you write fanfictions (Any series)? No Do you draw fanart (Any series)? I have but not really. 99% of my work is original. Do you RP (Any series)? I did a play-by-email Digimon RPG for 3 years.
Do you watch cartoons regularly? (Well, duh, you're in an A:TLA Guild.) Do you feel that it's a juvenile habit? Of course. I find cartoons to be far more entertaining that most shows. I don't see it as a juvenile habit. I just see it as a preference.
Do you look forward to watching one or more cartoons weekly? Avatar, Naruto (when I can), Cowboy Bebop, Family Guy, Simpsons, and shows that I have on for background noise.
Why do you like A:TLA? Avatar has actually figured out how to traits of anime. There is a developing plot, character development, and a well written story. Most American cartoons follow a different path with one shot episodes where everyone and everything returns to normal once the episode is over. Also American cartoons seem to dumb down there shows in hopes of attracting younger audiences but they end up completely ignoring the teen or older audiences. Avatar does aim for a young age audience but they still keep elements that appeal to older audiences.
Any other cartoons that you like for the same (or similar) reasons? Oban Star Racers and most anime

Name: Tabby Age and/or grade: 21 Do you write fanfictions (Any series)? Kingdom Hearts mostly. And some Anime crossovers. Do you draw fanart (Any series)? Nope. Cant draw to save my life. Do you RP (Any series)? Yeah. I'm a Heroes Roleplay, and looking for more. Roleplay allows you to really get into the story.
Do you watch cartoons regularly? (Well, duh, you're in an A:TLA Guild.) Do you feel that it's a juvenile habit? Not at all. I love cartoons, and they are for every age. Just not everyone likes to admit it.
Do you look forward to watching one or more cartoons weekly? Oh yeah. Avatar, Family Guy, Futurama, Bleach, One Piece, and generally anything else that captures my attention.
Why do you like A:TLA? Any other cartoons that you like for the same (or similar) reasons? I like Avatar cause, well it has more maturity thats hard to find in similar cartoon. Its funny, but it has a plot that most other cartoon dont have. One episode leads right to the next, and it all links up. With other american cartoon, every episode is its own story, just one little bit here and there. I love shows with humor, and storylines that actually mean somehting. Most of the time.
Any other cartoons that you like for the same (or similar) reasons? Most anime in general. I believe Avatar is the closest America has gotten to making an anime, ever. Great story, strong characters, amazing artwork and story design. It has the whole package.
Anything else about cartoons that you like? What and why? I love alot of older cartoon from the 90's. They got away with so much back then, its hilarious. I grew up on shows like Animaniacs, Tiny Toons, Pinky and the Brain, Freakazoid, and compared to todays cartoons, you cant beat the classics. They just had something todays dont. Besides a widespread beloved fanbase with hundred of thousands of fans.

Name: Anoel (It's a psudeonym, really.) Age and/or grade: 19, sophmore in college Do you write fanfictions (Any series)? I've attempted a few Naruto ones, and have outlines for a few ATLA one shots, but nothing has been finished. Do you draw fanart (Any series)? Nah, can't draw for beans. Do you RP (Any series)? I did a Fruits Basket one once... But other than that, I'm not an RPer.
Do you watch cartoons regularly? Do you feel that it's a juvenile habit? Yah. ATLA every friday (when there's a new eppisode at least) and Naruto, when I'm interested in the arc they're in. Juvenile habit? Not at all! I like what I like, so there.
Do you look forward to watching one or more cartoons weekly? Yah, ATLA. And Naruto, at times.
Why do you like A:TLA? Any other cartoons that you like for the same (or similar) reasons? Lessee... Action, hints of romance, drama, a Cause, and room to create my own characters in the world. I like Naruto for most of the same resons, but I'm losing interest in it.
Anything else about cartoons that you like? What and why? I like that they're not realistic. I especially like the drama and complexity of anime, or Japanese cartoons.
(If you have any other statements that would make for good quote-age, it'd be nice to hear it.) Sorry, nope.

Name: Whitney Age and/or grade: 19 and in 2nd year of college Do you write fanfictions (Any series)?
Yep! I made a Harry Potter fanfiction that kept my friends laughing, and a Hellsing fanfic that I am still working on. I also work on some original works.
Do you draw fanart (Any series)?
I use to draw a lot of Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Saint Tail, and Power Puff Girls art when I was younger, but now I draw my own characters more.
Do you RP (Any series)?
Not any more. I use to RP Kuja from Final Fantasy IX, but that was years ago.
Do you watch cartoons regularly? (Well, duh, you're in an A:TLA Guild.) Do you feel that it's a juvenile habit?
I watch cartoons all of the time. Disney, Cartoon Network, and Nick are the usual TV stations I frequent. It's not a juvenile habit at all. Cartoons are entertaining and enjoyable. Sure, I watch the Home & Gardening, Discovery, and History channel, but cartoon shows are my favorite.
Do you look forward to watching one or more cartoons weekly?
I always look forward to a new Avatar: The Last Airbender episode. I also watch the new Boondocks episodes, too.
Why do you like A:TLA? Any other cartoons that you like for the same (or similar) reasons?
I enjoy watching A:TLA because of the interesting plot devices, the individual character development, and the art style is a plus. This season is proving to be interesting shipping-wise, too. Some other cartoons that I like are Justice League, Teen Titans, and Kim Possible.
Anything else about cartoons that you like? What and why?
I like the different situations the characters are in and the many backgrounds they come from. It is interesting to see all of these many characters and their personalities that the creators come up with.

Do you watch cartoons regularly? At least once a week. Do you feel that it's a juvenile habit? Blasphemy! Of course not!
Do you look forward to watching one or more cartoons weekly? Yes! Avatar: The Last Airbender
Why do you like A:TLA? Any other cartoons that you like for the same (or similar) reasons? A:TLA is funny, interesting, and creative. I love it.
Anything else about cartoons that you like? What and why? You can do so much more with cartoons than live action.

Do you watch cartoons regularly? (Well, duh, you're in an A:TLA Guild.) Do you feel that it's a juvenile habit?
yes, I love watching cartoons. I probably watch at least 3 different cartoon shows a day. no I dont think its juvenile. its something I like to watch and find more amusing than other tv shows. I'm mature for my age and cartoons have no effect on that.
Do you look forward to watching one or more cartoons weekly?
yes. toonami on saturday nights, avatar, and I watch adult swim just about every night from 11-12. But I also watch live action tv you can say, mostly sitcoms like Seinfeld, the Office, Drake and Josh, and Ned's Declassified. But I also watch more serious shows like Law and Order.
Why do you like A:TLA? Any other cartoons that you like for the same (or similar) reasons?
I like avatar because it's good. not much more of a reason. I love the characters, the plot, just everything. But I love the on your egde of the seat plot twist XD
Other cartoons that I like that are similar to avatar would I guess be almost all anime. I love my anime.
Anything else about cartoons that you like? What and why?
I like how they can always make me laugh and smile. I also like how they are fake so people cant be like "well that can never happen". I also like the varying styles of animation you can come across. I mean there is such a huge difference in the cartooning style from Foster's to the Grim adventures of Billy and Mandy.
Main reason I love cartoons and anime though is because theyre more fun than normal tv shows.

Haha Seira is pro-fes-sion-aaaal! xD
Alright, I'll bite.
Name: Stefanie Smith.
Age and/or grade: Age 15, grade 10.
Do you write fanfictions (Any series)? Yes. I have written Harry Potter, Class of the Titans, and Avatar fan fiction.
Do you draw fanart (Any series)? In a way. I doodle Avatar chibis in my notes at school.
Do you RP (Any series)? No. I used to RP Jurassic Park when I was like 7. I'm serious. I was a velociraptor.
Do you watch cartoons regularly? (Well, duh, you're in an A:TLA Guild.) Do you feel that it's a juvenile habit? Yes, I watch them regularly. The only 'real life' shows I watch are Firefly, Scrubs, The Daily Show, and The Colbert Report. I don't think it's necessarily a juvenile habit. Just because things are drawn and animated instead of acted out doesn't mean they are aimed towards children or have less merit than regular shows. There is a growing market of adult cartoons (not hentai Dx), and more and more adults are watching them.
Do you look forward to watching one or more cartoons weekly? Yes. Avatar, duh. Undergrads. Uh... yeah, I really don't watch that many shows regularly. I'm happy when I catch Futurama, Clone High, Recess (gotta love Recess), The Weekenders, etc.
Why do you like A:TLA? Any other cartoons that you like for the same (or similar) reasons? I like it because... I dunno. It's GOOD. It's funny, it's smart, it's got tons of action, it's got amazing characters, it's got a good plot... it's just enjoyable. There's a fun aspect and a more sophisticated aspect. Hm... Ouran High's got some of that. There's no other cartoon I respect nearly as much as Avatar, though.
Anything else about cartoons that you like? What and why? I just like cartoons. I like the wackiness that you can put in with weird expressions and outlandish gags, but then I love how there's also a plot.
(If you have any other statements that would make for good quote-age, it'd be nice to hear it.) I suck at quotes. biggrin
