He bit his thumb, swiping the blood across the seal, the door opening automatically.
"Damn you, Kankuro..." he gritted his teeth, his left arm searing in pain. He pulled up his sleeve, frowning. The skin had darkened, already starting to decay.
"If I want to keep the infection from getting worse, I'm going to have to cut the damn thing off sooner or later..."

He finished the specifications of what he needed, rolling up the scroll.
"Now," he said simply, "Since I can't leave the village, I'll have to send someone. But who?"
He remembered the loudmouthed Sound nin from the exams. What was his name? Zazu or something? No, it was Jazu. Yes... I think he'll do nicely...

He got up, leaving the lab. "Now to find his chakra signature... Yes, he's in that direction."

He frowned, sensing an unfamiliar signature in range. He stood, walking up the stairs to the outside.

He emerged in the forest, heading for the signature. He found its owner, an older man carrying a large parcel and a scroll.

"You. What are you doing here?"

He jumped, seeing Karu. "I- I was to deliver this to someone in this area..." He clutched the parcel defensively.

"Ah. That's mine then," he pulled the package and scroll out of the man's arms, and when the blacksmith tried to protest, he simply smirked, cutting him off. "You will forget this place, and that I ever existed. Go back to your village."

The man's eyes glazed over like Jazu's, turning away and walking mechanically towards Cloud.

Karu chuckled, walking back into his lab. He set the package down on the table, opening it. He grinned, seeing the gleam of metal. "Forged to exact specifications. It's perfect. He even made that feature that I asked for. All that's left is to complete and assemble it..."

He glanced to the corner of the room, where a furnace had been going. He placed the metal pieces on the furnace. "An alloy that doesn't warp easily under extremes of temperature..." He formed a string of hand seals. "Now to do this. Art of the Ley Infusion!" He held out his right hand, numerous Ley Lines springing from it, each being absorbed into the heated steel.

Several minutes later, he telekinetically lowered the pieces into a barrel of water, a burst of steam coming forth. Satisfied they had been cooled, he pulled them out again, dropping them onto the table while pulling the water from them and moving it back to the barrel.

"Now to begin the assembly..."

Karu descended into the lab, sitting at his desk, examining his new arm. He telekinetically triggered a secret compartment, the door of which slid back, revealing a strange seal. "Excellent." He closed it and activated another trigger, and a poisoned blade slid out of the palm, extending out roughly a foot in length, then retracted it. Smirking, he clenched his fist, exercising its finger joints.
"Perfect. Absolutely perfect..."

He entered the Lab, storing Nehan's and Soren's blood samples in a freezer.
"Now... I need to acquire some other samples, but where?"

He landed in front of the hidden door, cutting his finger and activating the seal, walking through the door which sealed immediately after him. "Such a useful jutsu." He pressed a button on the wall, activating his own personal security system in the event the Twins were stupid enough to follow him. "Now to do what I'm best at..." He formed a handseal. "Remote Viewing"

Karu entered, depositing Taku and Masaru's blood samples in the same frezzer he had stored Nehan and Soren's in. "Two more..."
