(( xD Sorry for the shortness. -brain block-
By mid day afternoon, Kavik was pooped. His small pink tongue hanging limp from his mouth. No one usually came by around this hour of day, which gave him just enough to time finish up the days left over meat and fit in a quick nap before the flow of people and dogs came in again. Which meant more protecting of his territory. He turned lazily onto his side, letting the light sun barely shinning through the sun warm his fur. One leg stretched high into the air, and his neck strained forward in a giant stretch. One eye split open into a narrow crack, and his gaze swept across the scenery in one last sweep over before to fell asleep.

**teehee, I totaly just realized he has a milk mustache** Tulukaruk trotted away from her family in one more independent adventure. Its not that she sought solitude from her family, but Mama and Papa had a lot on their minds, so it was easy for the pup to get distracted in exploration for more appeasing things. So, the purpled eyed pup bounced through the wilderness, and ended at the clearing of a settlement. She had long heard stories of humans and the expected bond she was to form with a special one, so on Tulu went. Not the least bit shy of meeting all kinds of new folk, she twisted her tongue in anticipation for making new friends.

(( xD Ohmigosh he does! -shot- ))
Kavik's leg twitched silently and all his senses seemed to dull. Flipping over onto his other side, Kavik felt a warm, pale hand rub his belly tenderly as his master peered down over him, her lightly ruffled hair falling over one venerable eyes. Standing at a very short 4' 11", she trotted off in the other direction, leaving Kavik with only the soft imprint of her hand on his belly. One eyes snapped open again and he let out a faint bark as master disappeared behind the large, dragging cloth that was swung carelessly in front of the large hut entrance. One paw tingled as Kavik became aware of a pair of feet strolling along close by. All his muscles tensed as he jumped to his paws in one quick swooping motion and began the loud, continuous barking. The figure jumped back and quickly hurried off in the other direction much to Kavik's satisfaction.

xP Now within the boundaries of the settlement, Tulu walked past a little boy running the opposite direction. He had a mortified expression in his eyes. Tulukaruk had no idea what could be so fearful in such a quiet place.
Playing a game with herself, Tulu walked in the direction the boy had come from, making assumptions about all the things she saw. One wide jawed man was eating the same slippery river dweller she had caught last night. So Tulu made the assumption that the man had seen her eating the legless swimmer, and had thus been convinced that they were tasty. Copy Cat, Tulu thought, calling him the same thing her brother had called her for playing “follow-the-leader” with him. (He wasn’t aware they were playing.)
Tulukaruk walked along, weaving around all sorts of different things she had never seen before. The little boy’s foot prints she was tracking led to the back of a hut. She thought the scent of another dog was around the other side, but something made her hesitant to go find out for sure.
