Auri looked on with a happy smile. It was one of the few times that she had seen her Mother so happy; it was a good change. She was happy that she had caused such a reaction, too.
"You have!" she repeated, although she couldn't help but bat him with a paw on his shoulder at his compliment. "Oh, you. Ever the pertinent cub," she teased back.
"It is good seeing you! How have you been? What have you been up to since we last spoke? It feels like it's been forever. And that rematch could be arranged..." she trailed off, though laughed as he whispered to reassure that he was, in fact joking. She knew that. No one wanted a math (or a rematch, even) with her father.
He was too big. And by big, she meant fluffy and fat, but no one had to know the difference between her definition and the common misconception of 'muscle' that was often put next to the word.
Auri winked at him in reply, happy to help. She stayed off to the side, letting them have their little reunion.

"Of course," he grinned, his mischievousness pretty much glowing around him. "After you helped me get un-lost that time, I found a playmate for awhile before she disappeared... then I guess I pretty much grew up and hung around with my pride for a while..." he contemplated telling her about how boring his life was, and then shrugged. It was Moyo, she probably wouldn't mind.
"I've been traveling around ever since I matured a bit more," he felt a bit embarrassed saying "matured" but he probably did, if his speech was anything to go by. "Uh, please no," he said, knowing Moyo was teasing him but she might have been serious as well. A rematch with Kifijo? No way! Clearing his throat, he grinned. "Well, if we're going to catch up, how about we go to your den and relax a bit?
"I'm a bit tired and you know I like my sleep." He had a wide, cub-like grin as he said that. "But I love talking with friends too."

"But of course! How silly of me not to think of that first. Come in, come in. Poor thing, you must be tired," Moyo returned, teasing again, as she led the way back inside to the comfy den.
Good thing she had just changed the grasses in there, she thought to herself. Otherwise that would have been a bit embarrassing.
She began to talk again, telling him about miscellaneous things happening during the years they were apart. Trying to catch up a bit.
Auri stayed, smiling at the two old friends, as they entered into the den. Once they were inside, she was safe to escape. Probably off to find Sharifu, wherever he was.
She had the idea in her head to tell him that she had just been flirted with...
