Hi guys; I really need your opinion on something. Okay, about a year ago I quested a pair of Bear Pajamas at around about 40k, which was a ridicoulous amount to me back then considering I'd really only really just joined Gaia at the time.

Now they're twice as much, and as you can see from my sig, I'm on a stupidly hard quest. gonk So I'm thinking of selling it.

Pros:
1. I'm making twice as much gold back then I bought it for.
2. I don't really wear the item anymore regardless.

Cons:
1. It.. was the first item I ever quested for. :'(
2. It could inflate more? I don't know, from what I've seen, Bear Pajamas are pretty weird in their inflation/deflation.

I'm not including the 2% marketplace fee as a con, since I'm only losing 1.6k if I sell it at 80k

So what do you guys think, should I sell or should I keep?

Also, opinion on an Ancient Katana. Is it worth putting it in the marketplace? I've never dealt with begging noobs before, and from what I can see people who have katanas in the mp have to deal with beggers all the time. :[

It's up to you really.

But for me, if I had the Bear PJ then I will probably just sell it even though the buyer could keep it for years and it goes up more than 80k. But see the key, it'll probably be a year or so for it to reach 90k or beyond. And I don't really have that kind of patience to hold on something for so long just so its value will go up. It'll help you out a lot with your scarf quest though. ^^;

However, if I had the Katana... I'll probably keep it to myself because I think swords are spiffy. XD;

I guess that's my opinion on it.

Hmm.. that's a toughie. I know I've sold quite a few of my first quest items to get stuff.. I kinda miss the NM headband I had. D= I think I sold it to my friend. I say keep it juusstt for a little more.

Also, I'll help you out wif money. heart I rarely buy anything expensive.

For the Bear PJ's, I'd say sell. The market for them isn't exactly a guarantee, ans they go up and down fast compared to alot of items. Plus, the fact that it's an older item and STILL only 80k means it likely won't be a big item in the future.

Besides, the PJ's cover alot of the avatar, giving less options on stuff to wear with it.

As for the Katana, that's a surefire investment in regards to the MP. That suckers gaining worth FAST. So, I'd say wait a few months, then sell it. I bet you'd get 200k for it at least.

As for beggers...just set your PM's to 'Friends Only' while selling it. That should do the trick. wink

And yeah, I think I'm going to sell the PJs. As much as I like them, and even though they were the first item I quested for, I don't wear them anymore, and its hard to wear anything else with them.

I got the Katana before by trading someone a Wind Security Blanket and about.. 10-15k I think *can't remember* So I'm still getting a profit if I sell it now or keep onto it for a while. Plus I still like the Katana.

Phew, the marketplace sure is confusing. xDD
