Another topic to benefit my poor students!
Do you have any good pictures of what perfect form looks like over low-medium jumps? Many kids these days need visual aids, and since I am not allowed to teach a lesson while I am on a horse, I need to suppliment with pictures and diagrams. Many of my kids do not get into their jumping position well, but jump more in a half-seat or practically standing up with little closure of their hip and elbow angles.
Also, do you have pictures of terrible form? whee I thought it would be fun to have them guess what's wrong in the picture.

Oh, those are fantastic! I think I'm going to put a little webpage togethre that my students can go to that will have helpful pictures and diagrams for them to look at and print out. I will probably have to blur out the faces of all those 'bad' riders though!

i wouldn't put this one in the 'good' pile, id put it in the 'fair' or 'passable' pile. She's in the middle of the saddle, off the horses back and giving a beautiful crest release, but she's missing some basic elements. Her leg is weak, so it's sliding back (the stirrup leather should be perpindicular to the ground), her back is humped, and her heel isnt down. Even though it's a nice picture, i wouldnt use it as a 'good' example because there are some of those basic elements missing.

Heres a good one this ones of me, im paticularly proud of it, the only thing i see as bad is that my leg is a bit forward, but thats not horrible since it was cross country. (feel free to critique) heres a bad on of me and here's a REALLY bad one of me xd
