Silver smiled a little, then gave a shrug. "I'm not a crime fighter, and i've commited my fair share of crimes, some of them deadly serious. I don't care as long as those I care for are safe. But sometimes, I think about what i've done, and I wonder why..." Shrugging again, he'll stand up. "If you need a night out, or if you and Rei need a wild night out, come find me. I know the night scene around barton pretty well, and could point out several places where you would be welcomed, no matter how unique you look. Trust me, i've learned that one the hard way."

He smiled. "I just look at home with flambouant male humans... I've not got half the troubles you must have, and for that -you'll forgive me saying- I'm grateful." He turned and dropped his empty glass in the sink, the journeyed to the refrigerator and put the milk away. He reached out and put a cookie in his pocket for later and then turned to Silver. "I'll deffintely keep you in mind next time I feel like I need escape... which might be sooner than you think." He smiled.

"You don't know the half of it my friend." Giving a smile, he'll stand up and streach. "Like I said, just gimmie a call and I'll take you to worlds you've never dreamed of, and you'll see sights that are rare, even for gaia. I've made it a point to seek out places that I can just be myself, without worrying about those around me. Offers open any time, long as I'm not busy doing something important to the fa'e as a whole, or, ya know, fighting for my life or something." He'll give a grin to show he's joking. "And if you can drag Rei along as well, the more the merrier."

He laughed at Silver's last statement. "More's the merrier huh? That doesn't always fit with 'a place to just be myself' you realize." Then Onu winked at the other man and took another cookie for good measure. "One can never have enough cookies." He glanced at Silver. "Though I think that's just my motto." shrug.

"Well, the more the merrier, as far as Rei goes. Normal joe shmoe off the street? He wouldn't be welcomed at most the places I go, if he could even find them." He'll give a laugh. "Cookies huh? Well, your right, they are good." He'll snatch a cookie for himself as he leans against the wall, looking contemplative a moment. "This place is too quiet lately. It used to always be alive with sound and people in it. Standing empty like this just doesn't seem to suit it."

He glared around the room as if trying to break the silence by looking and listening intently. "A lot of places seem like that lately. Some of Fitz - that's my new bond by the way- some of Fitz's children tell me that they're old hangouts are either completely or mostly deserted lately. They're always complaining that there's nowhere to go anymore, but they're all adults now... they can handle it." he scoffed. "And I guess that same philosophy applies to me and you as well... we're adults and we can handle it."

"Thats true. Reason I've gone out and made my own places to be. But still, sometimes I get nostalgic for the life and noise that used to fill this place." Giving a shrug, he'll smile, and walk out into the main area of the first floor, looking up at the high, ornate ceiling. "Maybe one day it will be alive again. Only time will tell." He'll look around, fingers curled lightly as he smiled at some of the familiar things in the room. "In a way, this will always be a home to me. So many memories where made here."

Onuris jsut nodded with a sad smile. "Preachin' to the choir brother." He gazed up at the ornate ceiling and let his eyes wander over the trim moulding, on down the doorframes and across the well walked rugs and hardwood floors. The place was still in good repair, but you could see that people lived here... or used to live here at the best of times. "I wonder if the place needs any fixing up? If so I could come here on the weekends, or on my time off and give it a hand here and there." Onu glanced over at Silver. "Something to do and whatnot."

"Hmmm. Dunno on that one. The place was rebuilt not too long ago as an expansion was added, so its mostly in good repair." He'll stop to think a moment. "I do know a place that needs some fixing up, if you'd be willing to help me out some. I'd like to fix up my guardians house so I've got a place to live that isn't an apartment or a cottage. Yeah, there are memories there, but they are good ones for the most part."
He'll run his hand over one beaten wall, smiling a little at a memory or a thought. "I'm okay with working with my hands, but not all that great. Bout all I can do is put on a coat of paint, or nail something down. I'm better at breaking things then fixing them."

Onu just nodded with eyes wide... "It'd be my pleasure." then he broke into a smile, and then a laugh. "I can understand the need to have a place to yourself, of your own with or without your memories." He waved his had in a small circle to insinuate a circle in the conversation. "After all, was it not two very intelligent adults who can handle themselves that once said new memories were unavoidable and made everyday?" Then he furrowed his brow in mild confussion. "I think that's right... see what you've made me do? I've confused myself..." He laughed again, the next sentance making it's way in between chuckles, "Did any of that make sense?"

"More then you can guess my friend. Sometimes memories are guards against other, harsher things that are best warded away." He'll shake his head, and chuckle. "Well, unfortunately, i've got to get to work, and get my employees asses in gear. Stop by more often, you hear?" He'll stand up, snagging a pair of saddlebags from next to the couch.

Onu smiled and glanced up at the wall clock. "Yeah. I wil do. I'd better be getting back to Rei anyway. Besides, it's not like I don't have linty cookies to tide me over for the next hour." He grinned at Silver. "Have fun at work, my friend."
