The brown pup wagged his tail cheerfully as he padded along the edge of the camp, near the tall, tall trees, looming over him, their shadows cast all about. He gave a happy little yip, as he spotted a shadow that belonged to himself, and then took off running, as though racing it toward the other end of camp. Kivalik growled playfully at his shadow, and then tried to pounce it, though to no avail, as he only ended up next to it again.
The pup understood this little game, and that his shadow wasn't a real pup, but he still enjoyed playing it, especially when there were no other real pups around to play with. The adolescents and adults never really seemed too interested in playing with the pups, so it was up to Kivalik to be finding others to play with, unless he felt like playing by himself for a while. Actually, today, Kivalik felt like taking a little wander out of camp, toward the stream, but he wasn't sure if he wanted to, seeing as last time he had, he'd ended up lost in the surrounding woods for a day, before a human that wasn't his master stumbled upon him by accident, and led him back home.
He grinned thinking about it, it had been a great adventure, nevertheless. "I still wish I had someone to play with though. A little game would be great right about now." The brown-furred canine glanced about, just in case there were any others in sight, as he weaved his way around fires, and humans, and tents.
