I'd say he's a bit old fashioned when it comes to the fairer sex.
You know, the whole not hitting a girl thing and female leadership thing. Maybe its thanks to his dad. But anyways, when you look back at the "old fashioned" perception of women, you would call it sexist. So when looking at Shikamaru, despite him being awesome, he's at least a bit sexist.
Basically:
If
Shika = old fashioned
and
old fashioned = sexist
then by the transitive property we can deduce that
Shika = sexist

Well i dunno if he is really a sexist too much.I mean he was clear at one instance he had no problem with the 5th hokage being a woman but he was more concerned how the other villages would view this.However he is the kind who doesnt want a woman surpassing him....read chapter 55 of page 4 and youll see

If he's sexist then I'm a flying monkey. Which I certainly hope i'm not... gonk Well, he may have some odd comments, but everything is a drag to him, from women to fricken breathing.
