I just thought I'd point out a word of caution to you... If this guy does end up going out with the other girl he likes, and they break up, be wary of going out with him then. You don't want to end up as the rebound girl. That's a really bad place to be.
Situations like this are tricky, unfortunately. I hope it works out well for you!
