Since Rab was at the foot of the stairs he easily heard Merei yell. He stood, turned, and bolted up the stairs. He entered the room cautiously. His face was worried, but he tried to hide it with sternness. "Whats going on?" he asked.

"I don't know!" Merei yelled back in reply, not even glancing over at Rab as he spoke. In her opinion he didn't deserve to be acknowledged considered that Will was pretty much on his deathbed.

"You said you know magic. Could it help him?" he asked urgently. He knew something was wrong, even though he hadn't seen Will's actions while he was at the bar.

"Well yea... but he said. Oh screw it." Merei said in reply. The boy was going to die if she didn't do something. If she used a spell on him she couldn't imagine he would get to mad. "Here goes nothing." She announced, placing her hand on the boys chest a muttered a few words under her breath. As she did so the tips of her fingers began to glow, the glow then spreading to Will's body as well. She made sure not to do too strong of a spell, all she did was a rather simple medical spell she had learned that kept blood flowing, and even seemed to add blood to the human body by increasing the rate that red blood cells were created. She had had to learn such things considering there were bar fights so often were the medics took so long to get there.

William slowly felt a bit stronger, but he still felt hurt and weak. But at least he was alive. he didn't know how he had become this, but something was telling him that it had to do with magic. However, he was more happy than mad. At least he was alive. But still too weak to speak.

Rab watched, a mix of emotions played over his face, wonder, anger, and worry. He simply stood there by the doorway, watching, hoping his friend was ok.

"R- R- Rab." William coughed out. "I'm okay." he told him, as he noticed worry behind his eyes. "A- And it feels like I'm g- getting better by the second." he smiled, and cocked his head to the side so that he could get for comfortable on the floor. Just then, he wondered why he had gotten better. He knew that it was because of some kind of magic.
"Didn't I tell you not to use magic on me?" he asked, turning his gaze at Merei.

"Thats great." he said with a smile, then he asked about the magic. "I told her to use it on you." he lied. He didn't know why he was covering for her, but what she did saved his life, and she shouldn't be punished for it.

Rab nodded and glanced out the window again. As he looked out at the street he saw a podium set up in the town square, and a butterfly land nearby. "Hey! Cap'n is about to give a speech." he said. He turned and started walking across the room. "You seem to be stable now. I'm gonna go check out whats going on, I'll be back after the speech." he continued, and walked down the stairs of the tavern, and walked out onto the sidewalk, and walked to the town square.

Will smiled and sat up, but quickly fell back down as he felt the pain grow worse. "Damn, I can't sit up." He mumbled. "Hey, can you open the window so that I can hear the speech?" He asked Merei, while pointing to the window.

Merei nodded and walked over to the window, prying it open just enough so that she could hear the speech as well. Finally. There were going to be pirates in charge instead of the stupid Navy bastards.
"You'll be fine soon, just leave when you feel well enough." She said to him as she turned away from the window. "I'm going out to the streets. If you're gone when I get back then maybe I'll see you again sometime." She said walking out the door moments later.
