@-@
It isn't hard for me to get a job. My town is FULL of businesses, and I mean FULL, and they hire pretty much anyone older than 13, because no one over 18 who isn't a parent lives here. All I need to do is find a place I don't hate and apply, and I'll probably get one.

BUT I CANT SEEM TO BRING MYSELF TO APPLY PLACES.
I've applied at Maurices but I know they aren't going to hire me because I don't have a "work permit" ********. I'm NOT working at McDonalds or Burger King, McDonalds is too far away anyway. So is Dairy Queen. I could apply at Caribou..
And subway. And the grocery store. And other stores at the outlet mall.
But I don't want to work some places because I know 1. People I HATE work there and I refuse to work with them because I'll be miserable or 2. It just SUCKS to work there.

Like I know Culver's sucks to work at and so does Tommy Hilfiger.
I'm considering Old Navy.

Anyway, I NEED to turn in apps to 2 places today and another in the next couple of days as a promise to my mom and I should have a job within the month.
D: I'm just too lazy to go out.

SO I am going to shower now and get dressed and pick up apps from a few stores rly close to my house. D: wish me luck.

Two things wrong with this situation:

1. You're unemployed, still very young and inexperienced. You should not let your opinions or other people's get in the way of applying for a job. Suck it up, it's money you're after.

Chances are none of the "fun" jobs will hire you anyway for the afore mentioned reasons in last paragraph's first sentence.

2. Just because you apply doesn't mean BAM you have the job. Do not limit yourself to two "good" places you want to work at.

Try applying at hotels or places other people just don't think of applying.
And ask your mom what a work permit is or search the net. Then get one if you can. You'll have a 100% better chance at getting a job if you've got one. For every one place you KNOW requires one, there's about three that don't REQUIRE it, but won't really consider you if you don't have one unless you have amazing volunteer and extra curricular activities.

Oh.

A work permit is basically a form that says "I'm in school still, but I have permission from my school to work because my grades are decent."

You have to get one to get a job while in High School. Considering that you homeschool, dunno how you could get one.

1. XDDD If I will be miserable, I'm not going to take the job. I'm not going to work somewhere that's complete s**t and makes me cry daily. I'd rather be unemployed. There are lots of places to apply, it's not liking I'm running out of options. Don't tell me to suck it up, it's my choice and my opinions, I can decide whether it's worth it or not.

I have NO desire to have a FUN job. I just don't want a TERRIBLE job.

2. No duh? I've applied a few places already and no luck. I just have requirements from my mom and that was one of them. I'm going to apply at as many as it takes to get a job. Why would i only apply at one or two places? That sounds stupid. I'm not stupid. :/

Shoy no you don't. XD Some places here require it, most don't.

And toastie, I asked my mom and she doesn't know. I have an idea of what one is, but I don't need one because I dropped out. So that's ew.

Toys-R-Us is hiring for seasonal staff. ^__^ If you apply, you're practically guaranteed a job. Yes, they'll fire you after Christmas, but you'll have something on your resume.

I can't get there. Nearest is too far away. Have to get there myself. everywhere I'm applying is really close. I'm not restricted, there's a HUGE outlet mall 3 or 4 blocks away.
