Long lost words whisper slowly to me
Still can't find what keeps me here
When all this time I've been so hollow inside
I know you're still there
PostPosted: Tue Aug 09, 2005 6:47 pm

Watching me, wanting me
I can feel you pull me down
Fearing you loving you
I won't let you pull me down

Hunting you I can smell you - alive
Your heart pounding in my head

Watching me, wanting me
I can feel you pull me down
Saving me, raping me, watching me

River was layingso close to the waters edge the smallest thing would make her fall i but then that was all part of the game. Looking at her reflection she looked a little confused. That was her. So clean for the time being anyway. She looked around where she was laying for something or one to play with.

She was a strange one how many adults were still children at heart and acted like a small pup. It was yet to get her in trouble but she was sure it would happen some day.

Daimyn
The white-and-violet female had been travelling for over a moon. Steadily over the past fortnight she had turned south and east, hardly daring to pause for food or sleep before moving on again. Her eyes were as glazed as a zombie's, only seeing the slight possibility of refuse before her. Her ribs shown through her thick white pelt, and she panted heavily, but kept on.

Fear, after all, is an amazing incentive.

Finally she could keep on no longer. She darted into the Shaoilin woods (though, of course, she knew not the name of the area she found herself in), and it was with only a slight hesitation that she darted into a small hollow made by the roots of a confierous tree by the river.

There she slept, through the night and far into the next day, what was left of an ear twitching as disturbing thoughts, images, and memories flitted through her exhausted mind.

Her pelt was white as snow, so as to blend in with the snowy northlands from whence she had come. Violet markings flitted their way across her ivorn hide, creating "socks" on all four legs, a "mask" upon her face, and a "cape" laying across her shoulders.

She would have been beautiful, if not for the scars marring her face and body.

Late that afternoon she awoke, eyes blinking in the bright sun which had sunk low enough in the sky to shine directly in her face. Idly she lay there, too exhausted to move, the scents of the river and the clean woods comforting her.

Letting her playful mind wander a little the scent of another wolf hit her. A playmate!! The chances were she had never met the wolf before but she did not care any wolf was worth playing with whoever they were. That way of thinking however could and may well change at any time.

She let her nose lead the way as she made her way back into the forest to find this new wolf that she was yet to play with. She really had to grow up at some point.

As she trotted in the direction of the wolf her eyes laid on the white pelt. It looked amazing. She stood looking at the femme, her tail held high and her ears pricked. Her tounge was lolling out her mouth and she looked stupid being that she was an adult but she didn't care.

Daimyn
The femme's eyes had closed again, but she was far from sleep; the sounds and scents of the forest were suddenly far too loud to lull her back to sleep again, and the nightmares she had whenever she slumbered were sharp, painful reminders of her past and what she had just spent the last month fleeing from.

But unfortunately, no one can escape their dreams.

A new scent came to her on the breeze and dimly she recognized the faint thump, thump, thump of pawsteps on the ground. Her eyes snapped open and she was on her feet and ready to run in an instant, terror and adrenaline making her blood run suddenly cold.

The newcomer was an earth-toned female, seemingly harmless, but the white wolf's eyes saw different. This was a potential threat, someone who could chase her out of her newfound sanctuary, someone who might recognize her or clue her persuers into her whereabouts.

She said nothing, but kept her ice-toned eyes on the stranger, her head low and ears back, her tail tucked firmly between her legs and grazing her belly.

She walked over to the femme her eyes bright with happiness.

"Hello!" She smiled as she spoke. Her voice was rather playful and her body language showed that of an innocent harmless wolf.

She walked a little closer to the femme forgetting that she could be threatening or attacked in any second. She wanted to play what else mattered? Nothing. Exactly. She laid down on the ground in front of the femme her tounge still hanging out her mouth, her head cocked slightly to one side.

Daimyn
Confusion etched itself across the white female's scarred features, and an ear flicked forward for an instant, only to return promptly to the frightened, laid-back position it had found itself in so often lately.

Who are you.

It was obviously a question, but the femme displayed it as a statement, her voice low and unnatural.

"I am River!" She smiled still in a very playful way.

She rolled onto her back for a second or two and then laid back on her front, "Who are you?" She smiled a wide wolfy smile. She was a strange one. Definatly strange.

She sat up and cocked her head to one side waiting for the answer. She moved stupidly quick. She forgot about her mature side she was a pup once again and a very playful one.

Daimyn
Either this was truly a harmless wolf, or she was very good at playacting. She moved like a puppy. The white femme gazed at the newcomer -- River -- for a few seconds before answering, in a voice wraught with pain at something no one but she could see.

I am So-leks, she told her quietly, as though hesitant to give her name. But I am no one.

She turned as if to leave, planning to find someplace else she could rest unhindered before continuing her trek south.

River watched her turn and whimpered a little.

"Don't go please... I just wanna play." Her sudden playfulness seemed to vanish and her eyes became wider and rounder looking incredibly cute and puppy-like. She stood up straight and looked at the femme, "I don't believe your no one."
