Physical Education

Class Description:
Physical Education is a class meant to keep ones body and stamina in good healthy shape. Activities for this class will vary depending on the season, ammount of students, and school equipment. In this class you will be expected to change into a gym uniform in the locker rooms before class, you will have roughly fifteen minutes to change and prepare yourselves before class begins. Once you are finished changing you are to report to the Gymnasium for that days ciriculum. Classes can run from anywhere between one to two hours depending on the activity. After class students are expected to shower in the locker room showers to stay clean. Not to worry of course, these showers are kept in good clean conditions, Mr. Piano is sure of that, even if that means he has to get into a scrap or two with the janitor to get it done. A students grade will be determined on dressing, participation and attitude. Not all students are the best at sports and physical activities so they are not judged on that so much as they are on character and drive.

Class Rules:
-1- Respect the teacher and each other.
-2- Dress in gym uniform, and shower after class.
-3- Be on time.
-4- Do not argue with the teacher
-5- No electronical devices allowed durring class sessions.
-6- Jewelery should be taken off before class starts for safety precautions.

Discipline:
Depending on what rules were broken, and or what offense the disciplinary action could vary from, sit-ups or push ups, to detentions, calls home to parents, or being sent to the principals office.

Physical Education Grades

Every other class a student takes a grade will be sent home to their parents with a description of how their student has been doing. If the teacher feels that a student may need extra help, or if there are concerns the teacher may contact the guardian by phone to express the concerns. After every class a final grade will be sent home to the parent.

Grading Scale:

A - Exceptional job! Student has done spectacularly and gone above and beyond expectations, wether it be through helping other students, being helpful to the teacher or being an over all good role model.

B - Great work! The student has done all the required tasks and completed them well, they may have also had a good attitude and or were freindly and bright.

C - Satisfactory. The student has completed all requirments although may not have done so very proficentl, or perhaps the student was not kind to others or the teacher, or broke a few too many rules.

D - Barely made it. The student has done a fairly poor job however they managed to barely scrape by the requirments.

F - Failed. The student has failed this course and will either have to re-take it to gain the credit or they will have to take another elective. Wether it be poor attitude and poor performance or over all just not listening, your student did not pass.
