Canis Lupus the LoneWolf HistoryWak Canis Lupus the LoneWolf Arvis_Jaggamar I think I can see what Mr. Wak is saying. Ultimately, I think, it is better to own an actual CD of a band's music. You know you're getting high quality (downloads can be hit or miss) and it's kind of cool to have a physical, tangible thing you can see and touch in relation to the music that you hear. If I really like a band or am impressed with a certain album release, I'll still go out and buy the CD. I only download songs if I only want one or two songs from a certain CD. My most recent purchases are the new albums from The Bravery, Under The Influence Of Giants, and Rock Kills Kid. You guys should check them out. mrgreen I wanna find something I've wanted all along.... Yeah, I can understand wanting a physical thing. But I'm not going to agree that digital audio is only good for portability. Get a nice stereo system set up with a very nice sound card on your computer, and you have it made. Probably better than CD's. But yes, I understand why you would want something physical. I myself would probably be all digital since I'm at my computer most of the time sweatdrop But Arvis is right, downloads can be hit or miss in quality. And I myself just don't trust iTunes because the audio never sounds as good as ones ripped from CD's to me. They have to appeal to 56k users, and I myself am not too fond of the AAC format. Not saying it's bad, but I don't think it's as good as OGG Vorbis or MP3. Anyway, what was I saying? Oh yes, it's hit or miss with downloads so it's pretty smart to get a CD instead and just rip them to your computer if you want. Because then if you lose the CD or something happens to it, you'll have some nice copies on your computer mrgreen ....Somewhere I belong Or vice versa. xD Something horrendous could happen to your computer unexpectedly and your CD's can be your back up. I wanna find something I've wanted all along.... *nods* Indeed, hard drives don't last forever. It's good to have backups on your computer and make a back up CD for your original. That way, you have 3 sources. There seem to be a lot of rules with 3 xd 3 days without water, 3 weeks without food if I remember correctly. 3 branches of government. 3 just works really well xD Random I know ....Somewhere I belong xD I should do that with a few CDs I have that are OoP. I have one CD that is a complication CD and it has one song on it I can only get there and nowhere else. (I bought it for that one song....I'm a completest. lol) OoP CDs are a b***h to find (amazon and ebay have them for ridiculously high prices) and I can't even find many of them to DL from torrent sites and all. (obviously not available legally) When I finally find the couple CDs I'm in search of there are going to be many copies made. lol

HistoryWak Griggle990 HistoryWak Griggle990 HistoryWak I'm sorry about that. This morning and more so last night I had the worst headache of my life. D: I was really edgy. I shouldn't have been cocky like that. @Griggle990: I actually collect Beatles (and other bands I like) records. I have albums and singles. I have many of them pictured in my journal if you'd like to see them. biggrin @Arvis: I download but only things I can't find elsewhere. I've been trying to find out of print albums and such and I can't even find them as a download. On ebay it's only on record and I'm actually looking for the CD and on Amazon it's priced really high. You saw the size of my CD collection in the gaming space thread. lol Yes, I would like to see your record collection. Beatles togetherJohn Lennon SoloPaul McCartney Solo and WingsGeorge Harrison SoloRingo Starr SoloApple Record BandsI got plenty more of each category since then that I haven't had the chance to add. Really good ones. Dude! You have too many records, you need to convert them to either PM3s or CDs. I bought them all on CD too. mrgreen You still have the records right?
