So I have math third hour everyday and I dread going there everyday. Math is ok and the teacher is super nice but the kid I sat in front of was a major SIZIST. I hate how he thinks he's the bomb cuz he looks like Justin Timberlake. I moved seats at the teachers allowance, but I am still bothered by him. He makes nasty comments about this girl who is like a size 9 because he says "she's always eating" cuz one day she had a bag of cereal. I just wanted to punch him in the face but couldnt cuz I'd get suspended and that would be pointless. I dont know how to approch him about his problem. I have pamplets about sizism that I occasionally distribute, but I guess I have no courage to give him one. So let me know what you would do in my position. How do I stand up to a sizist?

Honestly, why does his opinion matter?
You make his opinion important by caring about it.
Normally my advice is better and more through, but I'm in a bit of a horrible place emotionally so I can't care as much about responding to another thread where so idiot a*****e's opinion is valued.
Who is he hurting by feeling like he does? He's hurting himself and his future relationships.
He'll be the one who gets older and doesn't have a personality to stand on.
So I can't really offer advice on how to get the courage to stand up to him, because to me I never gave a crap what the bullies thought.

You are exactly right. The fact he's an a*****e shouldnt bother me. That was good advice. You helped a lot--thanks. And I would like to say that I hope your emotional place becomes much more heavenly.

Thanks sweatdrop I'm hoping my recently ex-boyfriend figures out why he's confused and that he does want to be with me...but it's killing me while he's figuring himself out.

Ironically I am in the same place right now... kinda. He dumped me cuz I'm supposivly "still in love with my other ex" (which he knows wasn't true cuz we talked about it) and so now I keep hoping he realizes his mistake and comes back, but I dont think that he will. It seems like it was just a cover up now...

Fuzzy Necromancer You can also offer support and come to the defense of the people he mocks. =o good idea. I normally do that in other cases I go out of my way of being nice to someone when someone else is going out of there way to hurt them. But its mostly that girl from "Good Luck Chuck" that they make fun of. I dont know what stick was shoved up his behind when he harassed that other girl.
