Any Newtype piloting a MS with the psychoframe system is at least on the same level as the Zero System, possibly higher. Against Epyon, it's a ranged vs. melee MS; the Sazabi is highly mobile due to a light (for it's size) frame, and lots of extra verniers. It has a mega particle cannon, a variable output beam rifle, a beam tomahawk, two beam sabers, three missiles, and six funnels, all controlled almost as though they were extensions of Char's own body due to the psychoframe. Furthermore, Char's level of piloting skill is, essentially, at the same level of Zechs; however, with his extraordinarily powerful Newtype abilities, enhanced by the psychoframe, he's probably on a level that Zechs can't quite reach.
Not to sound like a UC or Char fanboy, but... Sazabi and Nu Gundam, with their respective pilots, are just about the scariest things in all of Gundam, aside from a few super-late era UC suits that are just plain ridiculous (Double Victory's near-light speed comes to mind).
In anything that he's piloted BUT the Sazabi, it's a fair fight; the Sazabi, as a mobile suit for Char, is a whole 'nother world from any other though.

Honestly, I would put Amuro above Char overall, mostly because Amuro focused on piloting while Char was a bit more lax about it.
And of couse, everyone forgets about Seabook Arno, who sorta-vaguely-technically applies as a Masked Man, thanks in large part to his exploits ten years later...

who? confused anyways i already knew everythying that you said about sazabi before i made my comment. so i knew what i was saying when i said it. newtypes are not invincible. especially ones as weak as amuro and char. compared to judua and kamille their netype powers are weak. they never did anything nere as amazing with their newtype powers like judau and kamille did. if char could barely survive a fight with haman. i don't think he has that much more of an advantage by being a newtype, even if he is stronger by 0093. oh and by the way some of the same properties doesn't mean all properties are the same. plus it is more on par with the bio computer from FG91 than the psyco frame. so in other words i say that you shouldn't count milliardo out for the count just yet.

All Right! The finals are here! today, we determine who's number 1!
In the final fight, it will be a fatal four way elimination match to determine the king of the masks!
It will be Zechs Merquise in the Gundam Epyon vs Schwartz Bruder in the Shadow Gundam vs Liutenant Harry Ord in the Gold Sumo vs Char Aznable in the Sazabi!
Harry eliminates Schwartz by disabling the head unit and destroying the Shadow Gundam's arms
Char Aznable out guns Harry ord and destroys the Gold Sumo
And finally, Zechs Merquise manages to overcome Char Aznable by destroying all the bits and defeating the Sazabi in a one-on-one duel!
We finally have a winner! Zechs Merquise!
