I noticed there was no thread where people looking for a Japanese tutor/Sensei could ask to find one. So, I thought I'd start one up, seeing as I'm looking for a Japanese tutor/Sensei.
So, basically, you can just put your name, proficiency level, and maybe the reason why you'd like to learn Japanese. Also, any other details you want, like times online, preferred method of communication, level of Japanese known by preferred sensei, if your willing to pay gaia gold, etc.
So, here's mine:
Name: Jozef
Proficiency level: Beginner, only know some basics, can read/write kana, some kanji.
Reason: Love the culture, want to be able to read japanese books/manga, watch anime, play imported video games. I'm also an aspiring game designer, knowing Japanese may help me in that field.
Details: Would prefer MSN messenger as an IM, e-mails as slow communication form. I'm online quite often, can fit to any schedule that isn't nightly (after 11:00pm EST, 8:00pm PST I think).

Name: Arisah
Proficiency level: Beginner, I can read and write Kana, starting on Kanji (I know about 60), grammar wise I've begun on verbs.
Reason: I want to teach English in Japan, I want to be able to read Japanese books, websites, understand song lyrics, etc. I have a big interest in the culture and I really want to live there.
Details: MSN Messenger, or e-mail. My best time would be from 9-10 p.m. on weekdays (Pacific Standard Time) or any time after 9:30 on Weekends, although I'd be willing to work with you at an 'appointment time' if that doesn't work for you. If you are interested I am willing to pay 250g for every 30 minutes of Lessons (I might be willing to bend with that, I know it's not much but I'm not rich).
Thank you, please pm me if you are interested.

Name: Jun
Proficiency level: Intermediate - Advanced.
Reason: I'm studying at University to become a Japanese interpreter/translator. Looking for someone my level who is concerned with correct Japanese, but preferably higher. I want to learn more about colloquial Japanese, and continue in learning kanji (I know about 500, which is a rough guess)
Details: MSN Messenger, or e-mail. I live in Australia, so I don't know how that would affect all of you; so email would be best I guess. I'm online pretty often though.
Please PM me if interested (I'd be happy to tutor beginners as well, if interested)
