Mercutio sat at a table in a small cafe with his head in his hands and his elbows resting on the table. In front of the blonde where two younger bodies. One was a young girl dressed like she was supposed to be in a Broadway jazz dance, the other was also female and seemed to slightly resemble a tree, with green hair and dark skin. Another strange thing about this darker toned girl was that she wasn't wearing clothing, nor did she appear to have any feet.
The employees at the cafe didn't seem to care. They'd seen the three here far to often to take any interest in them anymore, other than taking coffee orders.

"Are you alright, 'Cutio? You don't look well." The darker girl asked in a concerned tone. She leaned over the table and felt the man's forehead to make sure he wasn't ill. "You're not... Going to change are you?" She asked pulling her hand back a little with a worried look on her face. She sighed in relief when he shook his head and glanced over to the girl beside her. "Do you think it was a bad idea to come out? he really doesn't look too well, does he?" She asked softly with a tilt of her head.

"Oh he's fine! He's probably just tired. He sure does sleep a lot! It's funny. I have to wake him up all the time." the other girl stated with a grin, "Stop worrying Jynelle! It doesn't get you anywhere, my mummy says!"

Mercutio looked up and slammed a fist on the table, which he really shouldn't have done because now the wound on his arm was bleeding more than usual. "Ruth. Please hush your voice. You're giving me a headache. If you didn't keep waking me up, then I wouldn't keep having to fall asleep again." he muttered trying to keep himself calm. He still hadn't managed to get used to looking after the two girls and the stress was really starting to show.

Efren wasn't positive where exactly he was walking to at the moment. He was currently striding down the sidewalk in a manner that easily suggested that he was half-dead. Or half-alive, he supposed, glancing down at the orb he held. Was he taking his inatimate object for a walk? He knew the answer: Most likely. He rubbed at his eyes lightly, attempting to suppress a yawn and losing on that endeavor.

He glanced up, ready to turn around as he spotted a small cafe on the corner. In a cafe there was always coffee... Efren grinned stupidly as he made his way to the cafe with his orb of swirling mists inside. Once inside a waitress directed him to a table, where he sat down contentedly, not really paying attention to anything at first. Of course, no one really expected there to be anything or anyone to pay attention to in a little cafe on the corner.

Turned out there was here. He set his orb down on the table as his eyes found them. Was that girl dressed up as a nude tree? His first thought as he quickly glanced to another table. Of course, those eyes soon went back - as if he thought he was sneaky or something with his staring habits. Her hair was green and her skin dark. Like the bark of a tree. And she didn't look to have any legs, nor any clothes. Efren shut his eyes. "I'm finally going completely crazy, Wilson." He groaned only half-sarcastically to the orb sitting on the table next to him.

Nobody seem to notice the strange guy staring at them. Or Jynelle, rather. The waitress placed a coffee in front of Mercutio and tapped his shoulder gently. "Sir, you're blooding again. If you would, please try to avoid getting it everywhere. I know you don't usually have problems with that but last time..." The waitress started, pointing to the bandage that was almost completely red.

"Hnn? Oh. I'm sorry, I don't mean cause any bother." The blonde replied staring at the bloody bandage. He unwrapped his wound carefully before pulling out a clean bandage and red-dressing it.
"Are you sure you're okay? You should have noticed that..." Jynelle asked again before she hesitantly continued, "If-If it's okay, I want to visit the the park on the way back... I haven't seen the big tree in a long time, and, well... It might be lonely."

"Trees get lonely? What about the plants and the grass around them?" The other girl asked with a frown, "If they get lonely, can they fall in love? Or get angry? Or get surprised? Or, or..."
"Ruth! Please! Lower your voice a bit. I still have a headache. We'll go see the tree after I'm done with my coffee. I could use some fresh air, not that this air is ever fresh." The young man whined gripping his hair between his fingers as if tugging on it would ease the pain. He glance over to the guy who'd walking in not so long ago for a split second before returning his gaze to his coffee.

Efren couldn't help but wince slightly as his eyes searched out the strange three in the coffee shop once again and spotted the man's bleeding arm. He shut his eyes for a moment, coping with the sights he believed he just might have been creating with his imagination. And what exactly were they talking about? Efren kept his eyes closed, counted to ten, and then opened them again. Nothing was different. They were still there.

Talking about trees and grass and inatimate objects having feelings. Efren rubbed his eyes with a small groan, working on any type of recovery. He'd always thought himself to be the sane type, too. He seriously wanted to get someone to confirm the presence of these people in the cafe right now. And he could have sworn the guy with the blood had just glanced at him. Did that guy have any idea what he and his buddies were putting Efren through right now? Oh. Obviously not.

Efren thanked the waitress as she set down a steaming cup of coffee in front of him and went to choke it with sugar, cream, and cinnamon before warming his hands on the cup lightly and waiting for it to cool just a bit more so he wouldn't burn his throat. While waiting a few moments for it to cool he pinched himself lightly; just to assure himself that he wasn't caught up in some abstract dream. He sat back in disapointment when he didn't awake in his bed. You somehow become aware that you were in trouble when you began to see some of the weirdest things in your life - besides your pet orb glowing, humming, and rolling about. That was where Efren was stuck at the moment.

The blonde man silently drank his coffee in a few gulps before setting the cup down empty.
"Mercutio!" Ruth she said acting as if she knew what she was talking about, "That's not good for you! What you need is something big and full of lots and lots and lots of sugar.... like a lollipop! 'Cutio can I have a lollipop! I want a lollipop!" Her voice filled the room with cheerful begging that made the man grip his hair again.

Mercutio let out a low canine warning growl escape from his throat and Ruth instantly shut up.
"Calm down 'Cutio. Don't loose you cool in public. You know what happened last time." the Dryad muttered in a low voice.
"I'm such a horrible parent figure, aren't I? I keep telling you I wont smoke anymore, yet here I am about to get up and have one..." the blonde said with a sigh as he stood and went outside.

"He really needs to sleep! The silly gets very little of it because he doesn't sleep at night!" The loud girl stated slipping of her seat to peek at him through the window. When she turned she noticed the other guy. She skipped over and helped herself to a seat. "Hello Mister! What's your name?" She asked in a cheerful loud voice.
"Ruth! You're not meant to talk to strangers! Come back over here!" the other girl called looking shocked.

Efren rubbed his temples lightly as the small group began to have a slightly argumentive conversation. He really doubted he could have made so much up! And when he peeked up a moment later the tree girl was still there. He was beginning not to feel too well, really... It would probably be best if he ditched his coffee and went to take a nice, long nap somewhere. Like home.

He started as a girl plopped down on a seat near him and spoke in a disturbingly cheerful voice. It didn't take Efren long to decide what to do - he was already stuck in the middle of a whirlwind of uncertainty about his sanity in any case! It couldn't hurt to go along - well, not much more than everything else had already 'hurt', when he thought about it. Besides, if you ever read a book on things like this you knew you were supposed to go along so that they could pick out your illness after you explained.

"Hello." He spoke, blinking at the tree-girl as she called to the other about strangers and the like. Seriously? Efren felt more in danger around this girl than she could possibly feel around him. "My name is Efren." He spoke dryly. Oh, and while he was at it... "And this is Wilson." He spoke sarcastically and gestured to the orb next to his coffee on the table. He'd actually thought of a more tasteful name than Wilson before, but for now he had to find some slightly humorous aspect to his whole situation.

Ruth frowned and leaned down so the top of the table was at eye-level. "You named a ball Wilson? What's wrong with you? Are insane?" She asked looking up from that position to the strange man again, "My Mummy says crazy people need to be locked up. My uncle is crazy, I bet you didn't know that. He's weird. But when he wasn't insane he was fun. Are you going to be locked up like him? Do you want to hurt people all the time? Are you-"
"Ruth!! What are you doing? He doesn't need to know any of that, and I'm fairly sure he isn't crazy. he just looks tired. You should leave him alone." The dryad shouted as she made her way over. She peered down at the orb on the table and cracked a smile. "Oh look! You have an orb too?" She asked curiously, "I wonder who it is in there..."

"Say what? You think someone is inside the orb? How does it fit? He'd be awfully cramped in such a tiny space... Unless it's like the TARDIS and its bigger on the inside. How did someone get inside? How can you tell he's in there with all that swirly stuff? Should we be trying to get him out of there?" Ruth started asking picking up the orb and holding it closer to her face in hope to see the tiny person inside it.

Efren watched the girl as she questioned his sanity. "Yeah, pretty much." He said, leaning back in his seat as she began to speak. "No, no one's going to lock me up." Yet. And I can't recall wanting to hurt anyone all the time." This girl was certainly talkative. Of all things to imagine - someone annoying? Well, not too annoying, he supposed, attempting to find a bright side in the matter.

Efren blinked up at the tree girl as she made her way over and scolded the other girl. Her demeanor changed almost immediately as she spotted the orb. "Mmm-hmmm." Efren looked down at the orb in slight distaste. "What?" Came his immediate inquiry after the very strange girl mused aloud, wondering 'who was in there'. Efren unahppily made a face at the orb. Somebody in there?

And then the annoying one began to speak again. Actually, he didn't really mind because she was basically asking the same questions he would have. He peered at the orb now himself, finding the insane really very attractive at the moment. It was fascinating, at least. Unlike everyday life. "Maybe we should smash it open with a hammer and see what happens..." He mused, even though to Efren smashing it open would most likely release poisonous gases into the air or something.

Jynelle gasped and shook her head repeatedly. "No, no, no! You can't do that! It'll come out when it's read! You'll make them scared of you if you say things like that, and they may never come out at all. Whoever is in there though, looks like they would become very pretty." She warned taking the orb in her own hand somewhat protectively. A smile soon cracked on her face again and she placed the orb on the table. "Does it have a name?" She asked the stranger curiously.

Ruth stuck her tongue out at the corsea when she objected and crossed her arms over her chest in a pout. "He said it was called Wilson or something. It's a stupid name. Oh wait! My grandfather is called Wilson! But that's his last name. Oh well he's stupid anyway. He thinks I shouldn't exist and made my Mum lie to my Daddy and send him away." She began ranting on about her personal life. Not that anyone was likely to be listening.

"How long have you had it for? Most people I know had a kind of bond with their orb. Do you have that?" The dryad asked giving him a poke. This man was weird. She wondered if the creature in the orb would be weird to with him as a guardian. "I suppose it doesn't matter right now. So long as you're looking after it and being nice to it." She added after a slight pause.

Efren gazed at the orb as the tree girl spoke, watching as she took it in her hand with a small shrug. "So. Is it like a pet or something?" He said, watching the swirling mists of the orb with a detached curiousity. He blinked as she asked for its name. "Uhm... I was thinking something along the lines of Wilson seeing as Castaway was a great movie and all. But maybe I'll name it something else." Something like Augura, maybe. Yet that was such an abstract name - he didn't feel like telling it to people.

He watched the annoying girl with slight disdain as she spoke. She was certainly a vocal one. "A week or two." He replied when asked how long he'd had the orb for. "A bond?" He blinked. Well, he did carry the thing around practically everywhere so he could sit and stare at it. He supposed that could be considered enough of a bond... "I don't know how to be nice to an orb." He announced in yet another reply. Someday he'd be in real trouble when someone out there became fed up with him.

"Now you really are stupid aren't you?" Ruth said crossing her arms unimpressed. "Wait a minute... How do you be nice to an orb?" She asked the other girl, only coming to see the crazy guy's point after some delay. "Can it hear us? Or feel pain or anything? Hang on... why do you know so much? Are you a crazy too?" the noise in her throat continued to pour out of her mouth.
"Well... I used to be in an orb... When I was first sent to 'Cutio..." The dryad explained looking back towards the cafe' door. "I... guess just talking too it, social contact and protection is really all you can do at the moment. So long as you don't try to break it or anything, I don't know that you could be mean to it..." She added a little puzzled herself.

Efren made a face as the girl as she spoke bluntly before she seemed to realize herself. "Yeah." Efren mimicked the girl. "Are you a crazy, too?" He couldn't help but speak as such. For one, it amused him slightly, and for another, it seemed worth asking, really. Seeing as he was now a 'crazy' and the like he was allowed to do idiotic things such as acting like a talkative and altogether much too curious child.

He blinked in slight surprise at the answer of the Tree-girl. "You used to be an orb?" He quirked his eyebrows blankly as she spoke. "Okay. I'll try to be... er... nice to it." If he could figure out how the heck he could do that he supposed he would. Just to take a walk on the wrong side of the road. Just to be different, he supposed.

Ruth chuckled at the older fellow's attempt to mimic her and nearly fell off her chair. "Whaa!" She cried before catching herself on the table. "Look what you made me do!" She accused the elf-ish man with a glare. She wasn't a very happy girl anymore. Or so it seemed until she spontaneously snapped into her cheerful energetic mood again. "I don't think I trust the finny man with the orb. What if he goes crazy and... well... does something mean and horrible... I don't know what..." The girl started trailing off realizing excuses, and that her attempt to be difficult was failing somewhat. "Damn. This is boring now. When is 'Cutio coming back?" She asked the orb-born girl with a pout.

"Well... yeah I was an orb once." Jynelle replied her eye not leaving the orb. "It's very pretty." She muttered right before the other apparently human child asked when their guardian would be back. "When he's done smoking. he's trying to quit, but it's hard for him because it's the only thing he's found that delays his turn to insanity. You really don't want him to start killing random people, or he'll be in lots of trouble and you'd have to stay with some stranger for the rest of your life." The dryad explained to her before looking up to Efren. "Do you have any kids?" She asked almost randomly. She didn't want to be rude by excluding him, especially when the both of them were at his table.

Efren made a small face at Ruth as she accused him of forcing her to fall off of her chair. "Me?" He questioned in slight disgust. Did this girl just blame everyone for everything? Probably, he decided. "What if I go crazy?" Efren pressed his lips together unhappily as he gazed down at the girl. So. He had to admit. He was quite bordering crazy, but it wasn't as if he could help it!

He turned his attention swiftly to the tree gril as she began to speak. "I don't get it." He muttered, glancing at his own orb and then back to the strange girl. "Killing random people?" He repeated after Jynelle spoke once again. Efren groaned - he definitely wasn't hanging around with the best crowd lately. He raised a brow at the suddenly random question from the tree girl. "None." He replied. Efren... didn't do kids. And that Ruth girl was making it quite apparent why. Besides that, he was probably a little too immature to get married and have kids just yet.

Ruth looked stunned. "Why don't you have kids? You look like you should..." She claimed scrambling over the table to sit in his lap. She stared up at him through squinted eyes before crossing her arms over her chest. "He's boring now. Very boring. Do you think we should make him more interesting?" She asked the dryad, not taking her eyes off the man's face. She reached up and started to fiddle with his hair a little, shuffling closer to him so she could see better. Clearly she didn't know the meaning of 'personal space'.

"Leave him alone, Ruth. You get bored too easily. It's you not them." Jynelle scolded her placing a hand on her hip with slight annoyance. Ruth was a handful for everyone. "Could we go back to our table now? We've said hello and had a little conversation, now can we go sit back over there again?" She asked the eight-year-old in the guy's lap. She didn't want to get into trouble for talking to someone she didn't know, and she didn't want Ruth to get into trouble either.
