The best support is always participating in the posts. Check out the threads, find a topic that you like to comment on. People talk about everything here from Gaia gab (avatars, contests, games, etc) to hard core political issues (though we keep it clean in these parts. This is pleasantly a zone of mutual respect).
From time to time we have great contests- you just missed our huge Earth Week contest.
We're also a support network for one another. One of the few places left on the internet where you can have a good conversation with someone across the world.
