So, as you all know - I started Sixth form, but I really wanna quit - It's bullshit, I don't wanna be a Philosopher, I don't wanna be a Sociologist and I don't really care for Media - So why must I take these courses, when all I wanna do is get into the Programming business D=
I'm rather tempted to quit Sixth form and do one of those Compu teach courses that I keep seeing about - Then try to get somewhere with that qualification - If it means anything I have a GNVQ in I.C.T - Do you think that'll make a difference - If I stay on at Sixthform I could earn two A levels in I.C.T, but, it's all this stuff that I have to do with it, it's absolute bullshit.
I really wanna go in tomorrow and tell the Sixth form director my dilemma - Then tell him to shove it.
I plan on seeing the Careers advisor, see what she says - I don't think I can face another week of this s**t, seriously.[/rant]

 aww thats really harsh - im sorry to hear that your not enjoying it - i luffed 6th foprm.. mainly because all i did was art and mostly i was hanging out with friends D:
but yarr computeacj coursesz cost about 5k - well the one john is doing D: but your gaurenteed a job at the end of it which is good so its a investment in a sense.
but from what i have seen all you get for your 5 k is a few work books and then you work through them - microsoft ones D: which have retard questions in some of them D: and akwardly explained and then you go take a exam someplace - i dunno.. i would advise doing that in a few years as it costs moneys and you dont want a 5 k debt D:

I could earn 5K quite fast I reckon ;D
I have most of that stored in the bank already, saved up for Uni - Which i'm not going to, so, it seems silly to go to waste - Ah well, i'll look into it more, maybe i'll find some sort of apprentiship going down - After all, Jagex is based in Cambridge (People who made Runescape)

That sucks that you're not enjoying it, I hope you get it all sorted soon. My sixth form years were a big waste of time and I regret doing them qualification wise (I like hanging out with my friends razz ), so don't waste your time if you can get the same things elsewhere.

It's an English thing. When you finish school at 16 you take GCSEs, and after that you can go to a couple of places to take A levels. Sixth form is one of those places, usually in the same place you went to school. Once you have those (takes about 2 years) you can go to university.

nevermind cap, your courses do sound a bit irrelevant - but hey just make sure you have somewhere else you can go with your life before you derail from sixthform.
