I dislike it because people talk about how good they are at guitar hero, and think they're sooo cool. Try picking up a REAL guitar and playin' Jordan, buster!

Guitar Hero is over rated. It does have a good sound track but that's it. The real guitar is harder to play. All you get when you play GH is muscle cramps. When you play the real guitar for the same amount of hours, you'll be hurtin'. Literally.

I'm PomeBlack, the rhythm gamer, so of course I have to say that Guitar Hero is awesome. There is a girl in my ward who plays on expert. dude. expert! eek

My entire family loves the game and are competeing constantly for the new high score. my dad is usially on top and whenever he hears someone in the house playing it, he'll show up out of no where and ask to play.

Both my dad and my sister play guitar and they still love guitar hero. Duh, of course the game is easier. If it was as difficult as playing a real guitar, then not as many people could play it.

Don;t let pompus jerk-oids who brag on their 'skillz' destroy your veiw of a video game. *leans in* its a video game after all, there are always snooty players.

I will admit. In some ways the game is harder. You can't do all the neat little bends and slides in the game that make it easier to play songs on the actual guitar. So both sides have a pretty valid arguement about which is harder. It's still a matter of opinion though.

I like GH, but am not addicted to it, I refuse to spend the money. NO WAY! I either play at EB games or at a friends house, but only like two songs, I'd be horrible at a real guitar, I just like the music, If I had a real guitar I couldn't do real music, just lame songs you have to sing with cords.

Guitar hero is a video game and is in no way supposed to replace real quitars. if someone is bragging about their guitar hero skillz, dont be dumb and tell him to try playing a real guitar, it just makes YOU look pompous.

I dislike it. My brothers are obsessed with it, but I get bored after like one song. We got the third one. I played one song. I'm good for at least a month.
I'm one of those people that thinks the time could be better spent on a real guitar. Being good at GH is only being good at a video game. Being good on a real guitar is something people can respect. lol

speaking of guitar hero, who has played Rock Band? from what i understand, the group that made GH 1 and 2 split and half of them made GH3 while the other half made Rock Band. I play the demo every time I got to wal-mart (and since I work there... well, its alot) I'm getting pretty good on the drums, but it takes a while to get used to. the other day I was playing drums on medium and some guy picked up the guitar and played on expert with me 0_o freakin' expert! yesterday I took a step on the wild side and played drums on expert and did really well. i still haven't gotten used to the guitar yet though...

yes, this is true, but it takes a long time to learn to play a real instrument and with video games you get the instant satisfaction of a job well done. sure, you can't exactly take your show on the road and most of your friends could probably care less if you get a 287 combo and the only people you can impress with your playing skills are other GH players, but its the same with any game. we can seperate games from reality... I just like my pixelated rocker better than my 'can only play one-hand piano' musical self. sweatdrop
