After Kiba left the others to find a safe area for them to call 'paradise', Tsume had wandered away from Hige and Blue. He had also wanted to wander away from Toboe, but Tsume knew that the younger wolf would follow him even if the scarred wolf told Toboe to stay with the others.
Sighing, tsume scratched at the ground, expecting some food to pop out of it. "Nothing," he muttered under his breath, his stomach growling loudly. It had been too long since his last meal. He felt a little weak, yet he had been like that before. This was nothing new to him.

Toboe trailed after Tsume and watched him. He too was extremely hungry and was hoping for something to eat. "Tsume... maybe we should go hunting? You know for small stuff..." The younger wolf suggested, speeding up so that he was beside the other. "I'm pretty hungry..."

"You aren't the only one who is starving," Tsume snapped at the younger wolf. He winced slightly at his tone of voice, but it was true. He, too, was as hungry as the smaller wolf, if not hungrier. He hadn't been able to find decent food in a few days and now he wasn't able to find any at all. "Stupid desert," he muttered to himself.

Toboe lowered his head and ears, shying away slightly. His ears pricked back up and he shot ahead. If Tsume was hungry maybe he could find him something to eat! He heard something and if he was right he could help.
He sniffed around, determined to find something, anything to give to Tsume. The teen wolf wasn't as adept to the other's to hunting but he'd knew enough to survive. Once again his attention was caught this time by a hawk. It was coming down to catch something and hadn't spotted him or hadn't cared. Either way, it was his. He bolted and jumped, catching the surprised bird in the air and bring it down.
With his head held high, he trotted back to Tsume, delivering the bird to his feet.

Tsume didn't pay attention to what toboe was doing. His mind was set on trying to find something edible. It was then that he spotted a long-tailed mouse under a small brush. Or what Tsume thought was a mouse. Quickly, he snuck up on the rodent and caught it with his maw, crushing it to death with his jaw. Seeing the younger wolf approach him, tsume canted his head to one side, wonder what Toboe was doing carrying a bird to him.
He gazed down at the bird at his feet when Toboe dropped it, then he gazed up at Toboe, feeling foolish for only catching a mouse. Hiding a blush, he shoved the bird at Toboe, then he turned his back on the younger wolf and began to munch on the rodent he had caught. He didn't want the younger wolf to get the mouse in exchange for a bigger kill Toboe made.

"I caught it for you." Those were the first words the younger wolf said as his catch was pushed back at him. He used his nose to push it forward, knowing that a mouse wouldn't be enough to satisfy Tsume. "You can have it. I can get something else! I don't mind!"
He sat down in front of the other and lifted his paw, shaking the sand off his bracelets. They were really important to him and he at least wanted to make sure they stayed clean.

Tsume pinned his ears back against his skull as toboe began to protest against him shunning away the bird. He didn't want to hurt the younger wolf's feelings, but Toboe had caught that bird himself. It was only right that the younger wolf eat it instead of the older wolf.
Tsume turned his head slightly when he heard the soft sound of toboe's bracelet's. They were like his scar-reminders of the past. Something Tsume didn't want to remember at all was his past life in the city. "You have it," he said gruffly to the younger wolf after finishing the rodent.

"We could share it..." The brown wolf offered with a few flicks of his tail. "I really don't mind! I'm not really that hungry." He lowered his paw back down and picked the bird back up, offering half to Tsume to rip off. "I'd feel better if you had some."

The older wolf turned his head around to look at the younger wolf with one eye, his expression unreadable. Was Toboe really going to share th bird with him? Gazing down at the bird, he hunched over slightly and placed a paw over the half of the bird the other wolf offered him. "I have nothing to share with you," he grumbled to Toboe.

An innocent smile broke over Toboe's muzzle. "You share your time with me." He answered. He tugged on it slightly and waited for Tsume to do the same. He really wanted the other to be happy and wished he didn't care so much about not having anything to give. He truly didn't mind.

Tsume pinned his ears back against his skull but said nothing as Toboe tugged on the bird with a paw. Not really caring, he tugged slightly back on the bird. Why was this kid only happy with spending time with him? Did this really mean something to Toboe?

With a sudden snarl, Toboe, pushed Tsume's paw away and used his jaws to rip the bird in half. He lifted the larger half to Tsume, blood darking his muzzle. "Here Tsume! I got it for you" His tail was wagging behind him, kicking up dust.

[dang i am too lazy. X.X sorry for the one month delay]
Tsume just stared at the other male, ignoring the blood dripping down Toboe's muzzle. Was this kid going to actually share his kill with him? He knew that Hige or Kiba would never do that. He didn't know about Blue, but he suspected that she would keep her kill for herself, too. He shook his head as he stood up and began to walk away from the younger wolf. "I cannot share that with you," he said to toboe in a soft voice.

Toboe didn't seem to understand. He raced in front of Tsume and dropped the bird again at his feet. He sat there, head tilted to the side, soft confusion in his eyes. He let out a soft whine and nudged it closer to the male.
"Please Tsume. We're both hungry and if we both eat we can take down bigger stuff, right?" He'd heard Kiba say something like that.
