I don't think thats the case with me..

But with a friend, there has to be some similarity with interests or personalities or something like that. Otherwise you'd find yourself with nothing to talk about..

I don't think it really matters, but a common interest is a bit to go on.

If they don't like The CureI'm fine with it as long as they're not bashing them around me or trying to make me believe what they do and what not. If they do like The Cure, now we have something to talk about wink .

Does it matter? Of course it does because a person's taste in music defines who they are. I know that I have a lot of my identity wrapped up in the music I listen to--the bands I favour. It's ok to not be a huge fan of a band, but it's quite another to go Cure bashing in front of me. I do tend to take it personally--as if by attacking my favourite band, they're attacking me as well. I guess I tend to take things too personally sometimes.
