Nintendo is amazing.... of course the company has faults, but Nintendo has created possibly one of the most amazing tales in history. This little game called the Legend of Zelda is what I speak of. Over the years the series has evolved in many ways, adding more concepts to its whole... Yet, theres never been a Zelda RPG....

Many people at first would shun this concept and think of it as defiling the sacred formula. Then again that was said about windwaker... which was voted 3rd best zelda game overall (Oot and Alttp beat it). Still... the point is that adding new gameplay types to the zelda series would be an awesome effort made by nintendo.

However, since it is unlikely Nintendo will make a zelda RPG in the near future, me and my friend have descided to make a series of fan games instead. It started out very small... about 2 years ago originally as a mod for warcraft 3. After a year of production, i downloaded a fancy little program called RPG Maker XP... and thus the first game in the series began...

The Legend of Zelda: The Fallen Sage

The first game in the series, the Fallen Sage follows a simple 2D turn based system much like older SNES games. It is a very simple formula, but very effective

The storyline introduces several new villians and characters, the main being the original Sages created by the Goddesses. The story also focuses heavily on the often disputed relationship between Link and Saria, this will be the cause of the game's central conflict. The game takes place over 2 years and features over 20 hours of gameplay, and an additional 20 hours of sidequests and extras.

The Legend of Zelda: Time's Menagerie

The second game in the series, Time's Managerie discards the crisp and simple graphics of the first game for more simple sprites but a more flexible and animated battle system. The game is a lot more fast paced, and focuses more on the combat aspect then puzzles. It takes place about 2 years after the Fallen Sage, and involves two separate storylines from the perspective of Link and his current rival Mido. Link ends up becoming trapped in a looping time paradox while Mido causes chaos in hyrule to achieve his selfish goals.

The Legend of Zelda: Fefillo Amor

The final game in the series, Fefillo Amor (working title) will potentially be a full 3D turn based battle system. It will be the longest game, and sum up the plot in a nice flashy ending that will wrap up all the loopholes created in the previous games. Not much other then the story is being worked on until the first two games are finished
