Kenai yawned as he stretched himself, slipping through the forest of his homelands, of his parents' kingdom. He was upset to find his mother gone when he, Taabu, his sister and Uumi had finally gotten back. Though his father said she wouldn't be gone too long.

It was night time, though the stars could barely be seen from under the forest. He was heading toward the boarder's edge, toward the southlands. He was feeling a bit down, to tell you the truth.

Shariea
The large female lioness, an outcast with no real place to call her own walked quietly along the border between the lands. She could smell the scent of others on the wind, and she hoped that she could pass by unnoticed. The last thing she wanted was to be cornered by a group for tresspassing.

Pausing she glanced into the woods, her ears flicking to the side and back. Someone or something was approching...

Lethrossen
Kenai's dark, almost black, eyes caught a flicker of another pale phantom, ghosting around the lands. He slipped past the edge of the trees, coming to a hault. He was pretty big, maybe a tad bigger than the lions his age. Minus Taabu, his nephew who was older than him and larger. Not to mention smarter. He huffed slightly and sighed. Taabu kept mentioning bringing a female home, or something. It made Kenai a little jealous, which confused him because he'd never been jealous in his life. It was because Taabu would spend more time with his girl, rather than his uncle.

He bowed his head politely to the adult female, the most common of lions that he ran into. "Hello miss." He said cheerfully, his voice not matching with his current mood.

Shariea
The Large female turned her golden eyes to look down at the smaller male, and she breathed a small sigh. A smile, though very faint crossed her lips. "greetings." she said with a dip of her head. She had ment to continue on, but things didnt see quite right. She took a few steps forward before sitting down, her tail wrapping around her hind haunches. "What brings you here?" she asked him, looking over her shoulder at him.

The dappled rays of sunlight fell upon her pale tan fur, the color of the desert sand. Her large paws settled on the grass in front of her, so out of place she was in this land of green...

Lethrossen
It was rare he ran into anyone that looked like him, and her coat reminded him very much of his own, but her's was even lighter. "Are you looking for something particular? You're boardering on the Kusini lands." He was just informing her, was all. His voice was calm and light. He sat himself slowly, he wasn't that much smaller than her. "My name is Kenai, I'm from these lands."

Shariea
"Im aware of that.." she said bluntly, then fearing her words might have been to harsh with that tone of voice she turned and lightly smiled. "Ive been trying to stick to the borders as not to cross over..." she said looking over her shoulder into the land....

"I'm...not from anywhere...and not really going anywhere.. just wandering." she said as he sat beside her. The brown tip of her tail lightly flicked against the green grass. "Pleasure to meet you Kenai. I'm Ayo."

Lethrossen
He winced slightly at her harsh tone, normally everyone was pleasant to him. "Oh, it's not a big deal if you wander into the lands.." He said, struggling to think of the right words. "We're friendly toward visitors and wanderers alike." He smiled weakly, hoping this would fix his 'mistake'.

Ayo? Just like his parents, Ari and Asi. "Yes, a pleasure." He said softly, bowing his head again. So she was a rogue, eh? "Have you been to many places?" He said, a glint of excitement in his gaze.

Shariea
Ayo's golden eyes looked over at him, and she softly smiled. Her tail flicked again against the grass as she sighed. "Alright.... not many are so...welcoming to strangers walking through their lands. I'll have to remember that."

The glimmer of excitment that brightened his face made her chuckle. She nodded her head with a soft sigh. "Yes, Im a rouge...and I have travled the world. I never stay in one place long...have you been in these lands all your life?" she asked, raising a brow. She'd never had a home per say so she was interested at the idea of one staying in one place for so long.

Lethrossen
He nodded slowly. "Yes, my mother and father own these lands... But I did visit the pridelands for a long time with Taabu." He didn't bother elaborating on who Taabu was, it always got confusing throwing strangers into his huge family tree. "It's very nice though... from what I see the outside world is pretty much the same all over. There's quite a bit of viraty here..." He seemed to blush a little. "Though the pridelands was very lovely too!" He didn't want to sound biased, to be truthful.

Shariea
With a smile the female shook his sand colored fur, chuckling lightly. "Well it seems that you have a great love in your heart for these lands and your home... " she wanted to elborate more, but her tongue felt thick in her mouth and the words would not come. She had liked to express how she had always wanted a home, but the selfish art of her made her stop, to divulge such things on to the shoulders of a stranger, to possably be exploited later would be foolish, but then she didnt think this male would betray her so...he seemed to have a kind heart.

Her tail flicked as she tried to sort out her feelings on this manner, her fur lightly bristling in agitation with herself. Finally she sighed and offered him a half smile. "Im...happy for you.." she said, although her voice betrayed her. In truth she was jealous, probably as jealous as he was of her travling the lands.

Lethrossen
His left ear twitched. She was happy... but didn't sound so happy. He wondered if his voice ever betrayed his moods like that? "Why haven't you ever settled down in a land?" He said slowly, carefully and a bit curiously. If she wanted a home so badly she should just stay in a place, introduce herself to the king and or queen of the lands!

Shariea
"havent had a place to stay, or much of a reason..." she said softly with a shrug of her shoulder. "a few places have stolen my heart, and in truth I left a chunk of it there when I left... But other than beauty and location there was no...real reason to stay. You... You have your family to keep you here Kid... I dont have anything of the kind." agains he shruged her shoulders... it was all true though she realised she probably had let more slip than she intented. She smiled at him and chuckled. "enough of that...thats the past and future, not for one to dwell on. Live now in the present I say."

Lethrossen
He half frowned and half gave an amused chuckle. "That isn't any fair, not at all. You bring up argueable points and then tell me to drop the conversation?" He gave her a teasing grin, his words not harsh at all. Kenai didn't have a harsh bone in his body... which sometimes ended up being a bad thing. "You know.. beauty and location are just as good as any reason to stay anywhere. Lack of a family is just an excuse. Lack of friends... again, an excuse.." He hesitated.

"What I mean is... you can start your own family.. and if you stay in a place... if you learn to call a place home... well, you make friends." He looked down at his paws, hoping that none of what he said offended her. "Having 'nothing' as you put it... isn't a reason to travel from place to place, believing you can not call any place home. Rogues travel from place to place because of the pure freedom, the love of new lands and new excitement. I think if you want a home.. you should just find a home, regardless if you have no one there. You can make the lions there be your... your 'something'." As oppose to her nothing, of course. He glanced up slightly, watching her.

Shariea
Ayo's golden eyes glanced over at him with a soft tilt of her head. Her soft brown locks falling over her face. She smirked softly and nodded her head. "You're pretty wise. I suppose you are right. I hadnt really let myself consider that sort of thing. Ive never allowed myself to get close to anything or anyone because In my heart I know I'll just move on someday... perhaps thats whats brough me the greatest sorrow." she blinked and turned away from him. Just why was she so open with this male. Her paws lightly flexed on the ground as she shook her head. "Hmm... "

She turned back to him and offered him a smile again, to let him know that he had not offended her. "I'll...have to think about what you said. Maybe I should take time to make friends at lest..."

Lethrossen
Kenai gave a nervous chuckle, looking embaressed. "I'm not anything really..." He said, automatically. He was good at putting himself down, destroying any of his confidence. It seemed he had no clue about the type of wonderful things he said to others, that he was more wise than intelligent... and a very nice lion to boot.

Yes, friends were good! He'd have to visit the pridelands again some day, to revisit some of his friends. "That's a good idea, there are a lot of nice lions here. And the pridelands are about a three day walk north, they have nice lions too!" His tail flicked, though something inside made him feel that he'd much rather see her stay here for a short period, so he could make better friends, even if she was to move on one day.

Shariea
"Maybe I'll go there someday... But I think leaving now would just smash all the hope of making a new friend. " she said looking at him. "That is of corse if you wanted to be my friend."

She felt awkward, not really knowing how to act or what to say. Maybe he was trying to direct her to the pridelands because they could put up with her better than he could. Part of her hoped that was not the case and he was really being nice...and part of her selfish old self told her other wise. Her tail flicked and she finally chose to put faith that he was just trying to be nice, as he had shown her no indication of being mean, or having some hidden agenda in talking to her. After all, he had been the one to first adress her.

Lethrossen
He grinned at this and nodded. "Of course! I can give you a tour of the lands, if you'd like!" Plus that would but him some time of something to converse about... He glanced up toward the stars and sighed just slightly. Star gazing could wait until tomorrow.

Shariea
The lioness nodded her head. "Sure... I think I could do with a Tour. I havent been here before. " she said, standing and lightly shaking her body free of the dirt that had settled on her fur. Ayo looked at Kenai with a smile, her eyes glittering softly with hope, it almost seemed as if a funk had lifted from her, a weight of the past burden.

"any place you want to start with?" she asked, qith a tilt of her head. "I'm sure your familys land is very large."

Lethrossen
Oh! He could save the hills for last, because then maybe he could get some star gazing in! "Well hmm.. there's the river, but it's kind of dangerous. And the dens.." He just shrugged his shoulders, that seemed a little pointless. "The three wateringholes are quite something, all near by each other. I haven't really seen that much water anywhere else.." Yes, they could start there.

He got to his paws and shook off a little, taking a few lumbering steps and looking over his shoulder to see that she was coming.

Shariea
"I'll follow you to where ever you want to take me." she said with a soft smirk, her tail flicking behind her. The stars gleemed down on them in silved dappled rays through the trees as they walked, her large paws lumbering forward through the dark. "I bet this place just sings when the morning rays hit the trees..." she said, more of a remark to herself than a statment to him.

Lethrossen
The sun? He glanced over his shoulder again, and than forward so he could look around at some of the trees surrounding them. "I've never been in the woods during a sunset." He said, looking a little surprised. "Actually I also think it would be quite a nice sight." He grinned and his tail flicked to the side as he made his way through the woods. "Long ago they used to believe these woods were haunted by spirits, that came out during the night." He glanced to her and rolled his eyes, though deep down he was a little afraid of these woods. "They used to hear strange noises from these woods and stuff. This was when my mother was a cub, right before the pride... died out." He frowned in thought. Right, something like that. He couldn't remember the history perfectly. He didn't need to, after all.

"Though my mum and dad came back here with my three older siblings to start the pride again."

Shariea
The lioness nodded her head with a soft chuckle. It was funny to her how sometimes you could take the simple things for granted and not even think about them until an outside mentioned it. She smirked to herself and continued to walk behind him, listening to his story. Her ears lightly flicking to the side as the twig that snapped under her paws echoed into the forest.

The silver rays rained down her her, her form sliding through the shadows as pale as a ghoast. Her tawny fur lightly ruffled as he mentioned the strange sounds and the pride returning to the land. Could spirits have really been the cause? She couldnt rightlty say, never a real believer or sceptic....

"It sounds like your pride has a very rich history." she said with a nod of her head. "and it seems like your parents have done a great job, bringing this pride back to full life. "

Lethrossen
Besides the fact that about 80 percent of it was his family? Yeah it was a pretty good job. He guessed. But he didn't say that part out loud, because he was pretty ashamed of thinking it. "Yes, it's a wonderful history." He agreed. His favorite bit of it was about the falling stars.

His dark eyes flickered over a pool of water, shinning like glass in the moonlight. "Here we are. There are two other wateringholes, one to the left and the other to the right." He moved forward and leaned down for a drink.

Shariea
Ayo looked at the water, the moon and stars reflecting on its surface seemed to dance as he bent down to take in a drink. She smiled as it seemed as if the heavens sang just then, dancing on the water. Such a silly thought, but it was a nice one. She nodded her head and walked towards the water herself. "Its nice and deep... plenty for everyone who calls this place home. Along with the other ones.. no fighting over water."
