Destiny's Inspirations
(I thought this might make a nice first post. ^^)
There's a lot of influences I used. And she's also based almost completely off me. (Yeah I act like in real life. And I'm always in arguements with someone) The strongest influences would be Black Cat, a little bit of Buffy, and also Shalimar from Mutant X.
I had this image in my mind and couldn't get rid of it so I did it. I kind of based her off my favorite female hero (originally villian btw ) The Black Cat (Spiderman). I just love that outfit and had to use it for Desi's future self. Yeah, that's one thing I loved about her. And (in both the comic and series) she's constantly caught in conflict about who she really is and what side she's on. (Not to mention the criminal traits she inherited and powerful enemies she crossed. ^_^)
Shalimar's also a huge influence (even more than I thought she would be). She's wild untamed, a serious tease, one for action, rebel, bad-tempered (very jealous and possessive of her territory/powers) and very animal-like (being she's a feline feral) Ironically, she also had a huge connection to one of the main villians later on in the series; he got inside her mind (literally) as part of his obsession, and kept traumatizing her (appearing at random times trying to seduce her, using her fears against her, and even using her), while trying to take over the world and using his "links" (those under to control) to carry out all his biddings and killing anyone he felt like with his horrible horrible temper (XD)He kept tearing her apart until her best friend (whose telepathic btw XD) helped her finally take a stand against him and break the hold he had on her completely. Any of that sound familiar? XD FYI He (Gabriel Ashlocke) was my favorite villian in the series.
Rukia Kuchiku (Bleach) - not afraid to stand up for herself and others or speak her mind, also insulting the main character at times, and does whatever she feels is right even if it's against the rules and she knows she's going to die for it
Usagi (yes I prefer the original Japanese names; Sailor Moon) - A hero but sometimes spacy although she means well, but can argue with anyone about anything constantly letting her emotions get in the way
Asuka Langley Sohryu (Neon Genesis Evangelion) - hot-tempered red head who snaps at the drop of a hat, constantly beating up the main character (although she actually has a crush on him)and getting into brutal fights/arguements with anyone sometimes over stupid stuff. Not to mention we share the same birthday (December 4) although my life's not nearly as tragic as her's (considering she's literally torn apart in battle and all that)
Ranpha Franboise(Galaxy Angel; a completely pointless humorous anime) - Supposed to be a hero but usually lets her obsessions take over constantly and usually schemes her way into trouble and cliched situations from stupid decisions; also used her obsession over guys influence Destiny's reaction to WS Danny
Xena/Gabrielle: Although the roles are constantly changing, this greatly mirrors the relationship between Destiny and Degona. Really great friends who are constantly torn apart and against each other and still rise above all the issues when it comes down to it.
Phoebe Halliwell (Charmed) At one time in love with a demon (XD) that she thought had changed (but old habits die hard); also somewhat immature, rebellious and the wild one, even running from her problems
Sidney Prescott (Scream) - Even when she knew she was the targeted victim, she never gave up on fighting back and even insulted her attackers every time they showed up
Selene (Underworld) - strong, tough, doing what she thought best
Velma Kelly (Chicago, like you weren't seeing that one razz )
Mai Kujaku/Valentine (Yu-Gi-Oh) - Originally a conceited trash-talker that starts out caring only about herself using various tricks to get what she's after; willing to take on anything even if she can't handle it. She has a soft side (that only occasionally comes out) that shows she really does care and will help others.

Violet Song jat Shariff (Ultraviolet) especially for this part:
"How can you hope to defeat us? We're as strong as you..." "...we're as fast as you..." Violet: "...but are you one-tenth as pissed off as I am?"
