Xi-Mei was excited for her next lesson. She was particularly thrilled that she was apprentice not just to any Master Air bender, but to the Avatar herself.
Really, she was rather fond of the Avatar, quite probably because Avatar Kahamo preferred Air over all the other elements and was quite gifted with it. Besides, what student was not fond of their teacher?
The teenager swiftly conjured a 'cloud' of air to settle herself upon, hovering lightly above the ground as she waited in the Temple for Kahamo to make her appearance. It would not be long now-- the Avatar was never late, and Xi-Mei always quite early.

Kahamo was indeed the Avatar. As much as some people forgot it, she was also human. She liked the thought of having fun, even if she usually didn't have time for it.
Luckily, teaching she saw as fun, and in the chaos that was her life, that was probably why she was never late. Or part of it. It wouldn't look good for someone of her...rank to be late to any sort of meeting, would it?
Kahamo entered the temple, offering brief greetings to the other females who immediatly acknowledged her presence. She reached Xi-Mei and smiled brightly.
"Hey there!"

Xi-Mei hopped off her 'cloud', reaching out to clasp the Avatar's hands-- she would have hugged her, but wasn't really sure that was appropriate. Even if she -was- her teacher and a rather nice chick.
She beamed,
"Did you have an easy trip here?"

The Avatar allowed one hand to be taken, and covered Xi's with her other, shaking them up in down in a less formal and more playful manner. Since she was the Avatar she couldn't play favorites, but... Well, she really adored the Airbenders as a whole.
"Yeah, all things considered. No assassination attempts or anything. Are you ready for your class?"

Xi-Mei giggled excitedly, clapping her hands together once the Avatar had let them go,
"Ready as always, Avatar!" she cheered, hopping anxiously from one foot to the other.
"What are we doing today?"
