Hey guys. We shall be temporarily moving to the United Pirates of Gaia, within the Port of Provoka. You can find that here. -~:United Pirates of Gaia - Bridgetown Ladies:~-It is vital that you cooperate with us and post upon the Provokan Guild due only to the fact that it will help us continue a steady stroyline. So, help us thicken the plot by following us ashore. Come Socialize, have a Pint at the Spyglass Tavern or even set up Residence (or just crash at the 'Lucky Jack's Cottage at Flints Bluff!) There are also many other things to partake in: Create your own Mini Adventure in the 'Adventures Abroad' Subforum, try your hand at Ship Building at Fiddler's Green Shipyard (submit sketches & learn drafting technics or just hang about the Lady at her location in Provoka (Port of Provoka Subforum). Any way you look at it, your stuck on the island... so make use of it! Enjoy your time ashore. If you'd like to continue posting here feel free... but please join us upon Provoka. Also, do not continue the storyline aboard ship unless instructed by an Officer. Thank You.

Alright... so what I'd originally expected to be a short liberty has trned into an eternal nightmare. Though, don't give out on hope. I'm writing volumes of storyline while I'm away. Therefore there will be lots to do when I return.
I am currently out of work once more which means that my absence will be extended once more, but due to the time I have to spare, I'll be able to check in from time to time.
Now as for what I want this Crew to do, I want someone to jump in and take charge. Let's have no rows about if it's done properly or if someone is being a jerk. Frankly, there is currently only one thing that needs to be done: ACTIVITY.
Mr. Cubby will be coming back as Master at Arms and will be stirring up a bit of dust on the theoretical deck. Therefore, please for once in the history of this Guild please let the Crew, besides the Doctor, Miss Kale, Aria & Midnight run this Guild without any second thought... it's seriously up tp you to keep this alive. Since 2002 this Guild has been absolutley flawless.. let's try to keep it going, okay? Please... this is me begging...
PLEASE IF YOU FIND TIME... DONT GIVE UP THE SHIP!!!!!!

Thank you my dear. Now as you might have guessed, the Guild is dying. Fortunatley, the ever vigilant Captain has a plan...
We're going to scrap the ship. Now, only in order to rebuild her into something grand. Now, no I haven't gone daft, I've just had a vision. This vision includes the destruction of the current ship and the reconstruction of the ship in a new era, an era of steam and flight.
Therefore, once I'm finished reconstructing Provoka, we'll take a crack at the Lady, infact we might even rename her. Any thoughts?
... It's time for change.

I will do my best to revisit this place. my life seems to have wisked me away from here for quite some time... hopefully I have the time to return and continue to provide my assistance as well.
As for a name... I actually have a couple of suggestions.
"Aurora" - it's actually the name of a dirigible, I'm not saying that the new ship would be a dirigible, but that's where the name comes from... the airship was used in a SciFi show called "The Secret Adventures of Jules Verne"
"The Wildcard" is another suggestion, It somewhat characterizes the nature of her crew and the type of people that tend to sail it. those are my suggestions at the moment... I might have more at a later date.

As I've stated in other conversations, we might make the new ship both Seaworthy and Airworthy. So, I was thinking 'Aurora' as well, but rather as a full name, the 'Aurora Borealis', or 'Aurora' for short.
Though, we might even end up with both an airship and a sea-vessel. In that case, we still need to come up with a seperate name.

well... technically... that character is umm... how do we say this tactfully... oh yeah... a corpse... dead, underground, incinerated... etc. So... if you are really into necrophilia... I suppose your new character could haul around a carcass..

I may be new to this guild but I've been part of gaia since 8/06 and I have been looking for pirates as devoted as the ones I see here for quite some time. Ever since POC3 left theaters, the population seemed to have gone downhill dramatically.
I'm looking for adventure with the men and women still loyal to the Jolly Roger. If you have room on the ship, I'm able and willing.

Yes, son... I'll take ya aboard, though I will say that you're joining a the crew of a ghost ship. This used ot be the most active ship-shape pirate/naval guild in all of Gaia - no joke. (We were rated #1 Historical Roleplay Guild three years running. pirate )
Though, now that we've all grown and moved on, I still keep a skeletion crew about the place. SOme come, but then mostly move on after sharing a glance and a 'how are ya?'. But don't despair. I'm going to revive the ship and rebuild my crew roster. I started to revamp the guild a week ago, but unfortunately, I had issues with my computer and had to stop, thus losing all I had created.
Still though... stick around and see what happens. That goes for you too Jackson.
