Yeahh, I start my fieldwork tomorrow.
I'm an elementary education major. Part of the requirements for my undergraduate work is to intern in the field for 45 hours.
I'll be working with the 4th grade. I visited yesterday; the school is beautiful, my cooperating teacher seems nice, and so do the kids. BUT I AM SO NERVOUS.
It's in a "troubled" area. I almost got mugged walking to the school. xD
SO. Yeah, discuss whatever.
I can't even think right now. x0

Thanks, I did.
And it's illegal here. ESPECIALLY ON SCHOOL PROPERTY.
Which sucks because I know girls who were raped on their way to school and weren't allowed to have anything to defend themselves with. :[[

If I were in a situationlike that, screw the law.

I want to be an English major, so I can teach high schoolers. I think I can relate to them the most. I think in every woman there's an awkward high school girl still trying to make it in a chauvinistic society, but is too nervous, or too self-conscious to do so... Or they can, but it's hard as hell Dx
Some of them are more apparant than others, obviously D:
