What Our RP is:Feretris is a large fantasy RP centered around a nation of the same name. In Feretris, a genetic coincidence has given women an unfair advantage over men. This genetic anamoly has granted some women a magic that allows them to induce pain and injury in other beings. Traditionally, men have had no magic, and so have become enslaved. This is now changing; Feretris has been capturing slaves from bordering nations for a handful of generations, and the consequences of new genetic material are catching up with those in power.
In the plains to the south, and in Tok to the west, magic is not something exclusive to women, and so the men captured from there have unknowingly resulted in male children with various types of magic. Some of these magics are not much in the face of Feretris magic. Some of these magics are weak to begin with, otherwise Feretris would not have been able to capture those particular individuals. Stronger magic, which can be carried by a father unbeknownst to him, simply require training, which the father has no opportunity to give. So although some slaves may have only a few generations in Feretris, they find themselves stuck there just as firmly as men born without magic.
The most disruptive magic of all, the one that is shaking up Feretris, comes from Tok. Tok magic is the result of a bond with dragons, and both males and females can be bonded to dragons. Until quite recently, dragons lived in their own world physically secluded from ours, but could use the bond to aid their humans in extreme situations. Now a very small, secretive group in Tok has discovered a way to bring dragons to our world without destroying the dragons or the bond. So far they have only succeeded in bringing young dragons over, but who knows what may be just around the corner?
Many of these young dragons have made it to Feretris, much to the chargin of the group that had brought them to the human world. Many of them are heading back or about to head back to Tok.
In Feretris, many of those who were in the underground, which is in opposition to the current goverment of Feretris, have just been driven into the plains. Their outlook is bleak.
The movement of the dragons has affected other groups, as well. Kokiris have just entered the RP, foot-tall humans who ride Iki, foxes, and worship beings that dislike dragons and their return to this world. One small group of Kokiris is traveling to Tok to scout out recent events.
