Has anyone checked out this game yet? I just saw a commercial for it and immediately ran to my computer to post. It's not really steampunk, but the airships and top hat & coat appearance of one of the characters made me think of the guild. The music is beautiful as well if you're into that sort of thing. http://eternalsonata.namcobandaigames.com/

It's a very beautiful looking game, and I'm a great lover of classical music, especially piano pieces. I love Chopin. x3
I can't believe they created a game based on classical music. That's what boggles my mind. Who would make a game on Frederic Chopin??! xD
Still, I would love to play it, but alas, I do not own any of today's modern gaming systems. I never really got into console gaming.
Edit: After having watched the trailer I was reminded why I do not like today's modern console games. It's because of the voice overs in the games. xP I usually hate listening to the voices because they aren't what you imagine, and the lines just sound stupid when said aloud. I think they need to return to text. D:

lol, i agree with the part about the voices. every once in a great while you'll get good voice actors, but I think that in older games like FFVII the text was very well written, and added to some of the atmosphere.
The fact that someone's making a game about Chopin surprised me a lot too. But alas, I too do not own an Xbox 360. I almost wanted to buy one when morrowind 4 came out, but ever since the latest generation of platform games(Xbox360/Wii/PS3) came out I have grown bored of platform games. If anything I can just enjoy the music and the fact that there's at least someone out there in the video game industry who appreciates good music.

Frankly, it is now the era of MMORPGs. Though I don't play those often either, but if I were to choose a game, it would have to be an MMORPG. The pitfall with that however is the fact that MMORPGs are rarely if ever completely story oriented. Then you're left with a boring hack-and-slash game, where you spend hours upon hours of leveling up. If I had the know-how and time, I'd show those game developers how to create an enjoyable MMORPG! D:
Sadly, I have neither skill nor time. xD But actually I started a project of which has no definitive completion date that involved a huge modification of an RO server (Ragnarok Online). However, with my computer crashed yet again, the lack of a 3D Studio Max to RSM exporter, and my tablet pen missing, I'm afraid it will never be finished. Just for points though, it was going to be set in a steampunk world. =3

Oh man, I would SO join that server. Yea I played my fair share of RO(for about 6 years). I finally broke my addiction and picked up another one; World of Warcraft. Thank God my hard drive fried and I was without computer for 2 months. It broke my addiction. lol. I had a private WoW server, but I never opened it to the public; afraid of hackers.

Thank God my hard drive fried and I was without computer for 2 months. It broke my addiction. lol. I had a private WoW server, but I never opened it to the public; afraid of hackers. Haha! I never really got into WoW. And I never played the official RO servers. I played for about a year, and got obsessed with the idea of creating my own server. Eventually I created a server. I've created it about 15 times. xD It goes on and me and my friends play on it for a while abusing our GM powers, then either we get bored, my computer needs to be repaired, it accidentally gets deleted, or I get tired of starting the server again every time it goes down. Eventually, we get together, decide we want to play again for old time's sake, and we get it going, and the vicious cycle begins again. xD This time, I have an entire computer set apart for my server, and it runs linux, so I'm hoping that will give it a bit more stability, but also, before I go online with my server, I want to customize the poop out of it, and make it into my dream game. Sadly, though I'm a great planner, I'm a terrible carrier-out of plans. But according to my concepts I have for the game which are totally unrealistic given the system and the engine it's running on, it would be my dream game. =3

I just got this game today, actually! It's very difficult, but that's probably just because I'm not the best at these sort of things. It's very beautiful, though. 4laugh

That's what boggles my mind. Who would make a game on Frederic Chopin??! xD There was an orchestra conducting game on the PS2 called Mad Maestro and a couple sequels for it in Japan only (including a Christmas concert version). Very interesting. I don't have a 360, Wii or PS3 yet either but Eternal Sonata might be the game that finally gives the 360 enough games to make me buy at least a used system. Add that to Dead or Alive 4 and DoA Xtreme Beach Volleyball 2 and I could be a happy camper.

Am I alone in thinking this looks a bit like FLYFF? It has that same adorable style of graphics that made me fall in love with FLYFF.
A game about Chopin is a pretty strange idea for a game, but from what I've seen, it seems to work quite well.
I'm a huge fan of classical music, and will probably buy this game now razz

The designs remind me of Square Enix's Romancing Sa.Ga series.

I never really got into that series.
Does it have steampunk elements, like most of the final fantasy games?
