I'm studying German and my school has decided to do a three week study in Germany over the summer. Cool beans, huh? Well, herein lies the problem: We all know that The Cure had to reschedual their North American tour and they'll be playing my city just 4 days after we're schedualed to leave for Deutschland!
O, woe is me!! It's the most impossible descion ever! It's been how long since The Cure has toured? And they're getting old and have done a lot of drugs; who knows when they'll tour again? On the other hand, how many chances do you get to study in Germany? Either way I'm bound to miss out on an amazing experiance...this sucks. sad

[color-purple]This is true. It seems that the choice is being made for me, in any case. Due to exchange rates between the American dollar and the Euro, it might be too expensive. (For those that are unaware, the American and Candian dollar are now even.) $1.78=€1. Sad day.

Im taking German too and might be going to Austria next year. ^_^
I'm sorry you might miss them. :{ That sucks. Can you drive and do you have a job? If so, maybe you can drive to another city a couple hours away, stay in a motel overnight and go see them there a few days before you leave. Check states and cities close to your area. If you already have tickets for your city but you want to go to another city, get a refund and use the money to buy seats in the other city. Otherwise, there isnt much you can do other then decide between the two.

I can drive, but I don't have a car. I have friends with cars, though. Hmm....
And what about goign to Oktoberfest in Germany. Com'on! In Munich! That's be so cool. And it's Germany, so I'd be able to drink! Sweet. Horray for lower drinking ages in European countries. (and better beer.)

I've been to Germany and let me tell you the boys are very worth the trip! Okay, you should make the trip even if they boys weren't cute but it's a plus!
- and the food is great - the people are uber nice - and do you know all the crazy Cure stuff you can get in Germany?!!!
Just a thought!
I saw Germany. Plus you don't know if they cancel the tour you'll have nothing! to show for your time!
