Anyone know if it's possible to use the PS3 controllers with their USB cable to play FFXI on PC? (Don't want to re-sub just to check that)

Unfortunately, you can't. What you can do, though, is seek out a Kiky-Joy controller adaptor for the PC. It fits into any available USB slot and gives you a slot for any PSX or PS2 controllers. This is what I use on the computer and it gives me the same experience as if playing on a PS2, except with high-res graphics. ^_^
