I got all this adjustable and interchangeable crap with my new Ruger.
Does this mean stuff's gonna break and I have to replace it? Never owned a "new" gun before. My stuff is just as-is. It seems that if you get a lot of replacement parts then you might actually need them. D:
Also, lulz fluted barrel.

I have a MKII. The hunter looks pretty, but pretty isn't very much my style.

I only know about Ruger Mk. handguns what I've read. Supposedly they're durable but are prone to jamming and are a pain to take apart for cleaning. Maybe they just put in spare parts so you'll pass good words on to friends about them?
EDIT: Also, I would never own a gun with a fluted barrel. They're unsightly.

 It's not so bad. Looks exactly like that. As for jamming, I've probably put over a thousand rounds through one, never jammed once.

Mine jams a bit, probably because it gets hot, and the ammo is kind of weird.

There've been a lot of improvements between the Mk2 and the Mk3.
And quite frankly, the Mk3 Hunter is the higher end version. I expect it to work consistently.

Lord Plate There've been a lot of improvements between the Mk2 and the Mk3. And quite frankly, the Mk3 Hunter is the higher end version. I expect it to work consistently. I would sooner buy the Browning Buck Mark. Basically the same thing but cheaper. Or the P22 because I think it looks cool and has the tactical rail.

The Hunter has a weaver rail, but it's not like I'll ever mount a scope on it. I can get 5 rounds through the same hole with the damn thing at 100 feet, I don't need any optics. XD I've tried the Buckmark, too, and ultimately of all the .22's I've used... I like the Mark III 22/45 Hunter. I ended up with the regular Mk3 Hunter simply because the 22/45 version is more expensive. And it's only superior in its general feel.

Secondly, my Walther and Ruger came with a s**t load of worthless accessories. Just dump them in a box and forget about 'em.

I even have a Shoulder Thing That Goes Up. From something. No idea.

I keep going to gun shows and finding bits of things that are neat. (or just odd and cheap)
I have a .50 BMG dummy round for a paperweight, it's awesome.

The only issue I ever had what with a recurring problem with the magazine that came with the Mark I I grew up with. By the time that pistol was handed down to me, the curved sheetmetal that held the bullets in the mag had softened. Being a cheap a**, I just took a pair of needle nose pliers and curled them back where I thought they would work.
The jams I saw were humorous, to say the least. But I managed to keep that mag in play until I could earn enough (as a young teen) to replace it.
The other issue with the Mark I was it would never give me consistent patterns, even with good ammo.
These issues put me off buying a Mark II or III later in life.

Or the P22 because I think it looks cool and has the tactical rail. if you put a laser sight or flashlight on a .22 plinker, that just screams dickhead kind of like anyone who puts more than 4 bumper stickers on their car
