OK, so there's more than a month yet. Still, I was wondering what people were up to for Hallowe'en, if anything.
I had a cunning plan whereby I was going to watch Japanese horror movies all Saturday night - Hallowe'en is a work night, no way I can party then. That plan may end up metamorphosing into going to a friend's party (costume compulsory, apparently). Still, in the run-up to the evening, I can watch "Hocus Pocus" smile
I don't expect any decent horror movies to be on TV, naturally...
I might even pick up a copy of "Forever Autumn", which, besides reminding me of a very good song by Justin Hayward of The Moody Blues, is apparently a rather good Doctor Who book.

Maybe I should save a film I have't watched yet for it. Or a horror game.
(Ponders) Freaks or Project Zero 2 might be ideas.

I might try to track down Nightmare Before Christmas; I've been meaning to do that for years, and it's literally been well over a decade since I've seen that movie.
Never been one for the horror scene, so so-called haunted houses and scary flicks are definitely not part of my plan. : P
...Not that I have much of one. More than likely I'll be working on Halloween itself, but I'm hoping it'll be a day shift that allows me to do something that night (sucks once you get past that trick-or-treating age). Heck, I'll probably be more enthused as to whatever event's going on on the site here, than anything in RL. razz

I'll be double locking my motorbike, covering it and hanging in the bedroom with the lights off and blinds closed.
....no fan of halloween now.

Gosh-darned trick-or-treaters? That is one of the great advantages to living in a flat - trick-or-treaters tend not to bother. They didn't even TP my car - partly because it was parked about a million miles away from my flat. Now it's in a residential car park, I've just become a little nervous. Maybe I should remove the hub caps & aerial myself...
For Hallowe'en at our age, I find you need a bunch of like-minded friends. Most of my lot aren't that bothered. However this fancy dress party could be good fun, fingers crossed.

Well, it would be fun to get some friends around,
Pop open a Dungeons and Dragons book and have a nice pencil and paper adventure around a candle or two.
I'm sure I could think up a suitable hallow'eeny style adventure to send some people on with a little bit of time.

I'll probably be on candy duty at my house. I get to watch little kids (with their parents not too far behind) take all my candy away from me. ;.;
Halloween isn't as celebrated as it used to be. Horror movies play year-round now, and curfew hours keep getting earlier and earlier. It's not even marked on most of my calendars, and work sure isn't gonna stop on a Wednsday. Why isn't halloween treated like a holiday anymore?

In the UK it's never been a holiday. I kind of miss Spain, where at least I could expect a bank holiday on All Hallows Day.
This year, it falling on a Wednesday and all, I'm not doing an awful lot. Certainly not on the day, anyway - I'm too old for going out late on a work night! smile

Less than 24 hours - over here anyhow.
I'm apparently way too old to go out on a Saturday night, too. I declined my Hallowe'en party invite because I was knackered. Not an uncommon state of affairs these days. An early night tonight I think.
Tomorrow I'll see if I can get away with wearing bat or skull earrings to work, but that'll probably be it. There doesn't appear to be anything startling on TV either - maybe I'll dig out my DVD of "Hocus Pocus".
"Hello. I want my book. Bonjour, je veux mon livre."
"Thackeray Binx, thou mangy feline! Still alive?"

Yeah, Halloween is really a let-down once you're well past the trick-or-treat years.
My own All Hallow's Eve was mostly spent at work, though thankfully the holiday at hand seemed to keep a majority of the city out of the store, leading to a rather stress-free workday for once.
It also helped that we (or at least us in the frame shop section...I work at a Hobby Lobby, if anyone knows it) were able to wear costumes on the job that day.
...Unfortunately, it got a bit annoying having to explain just who Axel (Kingdom Hearts II) was to non-gamers. : p

I can see how that would get annoying smile #
I managed to get away with wearing bat earrings to work, mainly because I had next to no contact with clients that day.
I went home, I watched "Hocus Pocus" while doing the ironing and I went to bed - slightly late, because I wanted to finish reading "The Light Fantastic". I'm doing a Pratchett marathon at the moment, by character. Which means that currently I'm reading all about Rincewind & the Luggage, yay smile
