{PRP} Sugar and Spice *Sweet Stuff and Gingey* Fri Mar 02, 2007 Rein_Carnation This RP is for Lady Kitania and myself. Please ask before you post wink The season had crossed to winter leaving the world barren and scarce but the harvest of wintery apples and sparse crab grass. The cold was lessing and even the sun was warming things up here and there thusly bringing out a shy mare to explore her surroundings. It had been months she'd stayed away from others and now her time had come to explore.
Moving lightly out into a soon-to-be spring meadow she found short grass that was somewhat edible. Smiling the little blue mare began to hum to herself happy to be out in the fresh air. As she moved the sun caught upon her form radiating her neatly placed gumdrop birthmarks. She giggled once more continuing to hum her pretty tune walking along with not a care in the world. Kaumudi Aurek Trotting along, a stallion of light brown with dark brown speckles sprinkled all over his body, came onto the soon-to-be-flowering meadow, the sun shining its rays down upon his backside. With silver-white eyes looking across the land, a small, yet somewhat large, blue horse out in the distance, caught his eye. Curious, the stallion cocked his head some and merely watched her, just noting her actions in his head.
"A mare... How.. Interesting... A blue one at that."Rein_Carnation Sweet Stuff walked along happily letting her delicate head bob up and down releasing curls of blues, pinks, purples, and white to move freely in the passing breeze. Everything about her was harmonious and loving with each neatly placed step. Closing her eyes she walked feeling the chilled wintery breeze kissed with sunshine blow upon her face tinged with a soft blush upon her cheeks. As she reopened her beautiful eyes they shimmered like two glistening gems in the sun's gaze. Purples and magenta twinkled happily as it fit with a smile curving her muzzle.
Pausing in her soft voiced song she noticed a stallion not too far away with peculiar markings arranged in outstanding colors against the giner colored coat he carried. She felt worrisome for a moment but released it w ith her usual sweet pleasent smile toward him.
It couldn't hurt to say hello in a simple smile.... Kaumudi Aurek A smile?
Well, now this was getting somewhere. Feeling rather welcomed by this blue mare, the stallion shook his head some, neighed, and trotted towards her. He was always wanting to meet new friends, especially mares. However, it was mainly because he was lonely. However, he never told anyone that, for he didn't want to sound pathetic beyond excuse.
With the breeze passing over him, his white, cropped mane shook some, slightly dancing to the breeze. His cropped tail did the same, although not drawing too much attention to it, for it was short and out of site. The purple balls on his chest, ones that looked like giant gumdrops, shone in the sunlight, rays of purple filtering out of them.
Ahhhh.. It was indeed a beautiful day. Rein_Carnation He seemed quite charming, the mare thought to herself noting his colors still. She, along with a couple others bearing the strange born tattoos, came in the colors of the rainbow. This stallion was the color of ginger and earth which was odd yet comforting.
Gaining strength she blew outward in greeting, pausing before she spoke, "Hello there. I'm sweet Stuff" the chipper little mare greeted in a soft loveable tone. Kaumudi Aurek "Hello there.", the stallion replied back happily. "My name is Gingey. It's a pleasure to meet you, Ms. Sweet Stuff. What brings a mare, such as yourself, out here, all by herself? It's not neccesarily a very safe thing to do, you know."
Only smiling, the stallion that seemed to be known as Gingey, stamped one of his brown hooves some, his white, cropped mane shaking around on the back of his head. As the breeze still blew around the two horses, Gingey couldn't help but snort some, feeling tiny tickles of pollen floating around his muzzle. Rein_Carnation Sweat Stuff smiled in his concern but she knew if danger lurked a swift kick could do just the trick.
Laughing softly in almost a soft whisper she giggled, "Hee hee... Its a nice day and well I really don't live in any herd. I guess you could say I've always been alone". She paused nodding her head to him. "Its very nice to meet you Gingey. And what of you to be out by yourself?" she asked with a sweet smile as her eyes twinkled in the warm sunlight.
Sweetstuff couldn't remember any soquili simply talking with her, maybe things were looking up for a change. Kaumudi Aurek Shrugging his shoulders some, Gingey finally sneezed, the pollen really getting to him.
"Ehh.. I travel alone all the time. I don't live with anyone, nor do I stay in the same place for very long. I just like to wander around. Sure, I make friends along the way and all, but staying in one place for too long just irritates me. I guess you could call me a loner."
Well, this was new. A blue, very sweet mare was talking to him, and out of nowhere as well. How odd it was... Yet, rather pleasant. Rein_Carnation Sweet Stuff frowned a bit for his heart seemed to cry with his words. What he needed most was a friend if he were going to mend and be happy. So she took an initiative in being his company curious to learn things about him.
"All well I know that being alone is so miserable. But yet its relaxing as well just to go out and stroll about. If you need a friend I'd be glad to be one while you enjoy your stay here, "she paused with a soft smile letting her eyes twinkle toward him.
No one should be alone let she herself followed that path it seemed.

[PRP] Sweet and Sour (Dodger and Sweetstuff) Wed May 02, 2007 TheMadHatter Away from his family at last. It was like nothing in the world to be free of his brother's constant, well just him, and to be able to trot around without a care in the world. Mama would probably start to wonder where he was eventually but she knew he was smart enough to take are of himself. At least this way he and his brother didn't spend the whole afternoon snapping at eachother.
Tossing his hair trying in vain to get the white curls out of his eyes he trotted toward a small stream he'd come across. A drink would do him some good after all the running around. Shaking himself slightly he got some of the dust off his hide but knew he'd need a bath later to get rid of it all. Good thing Mama and Dah lived by a lake. Rein_Carnation She wandered farther than usual, taking in the vast scenery of summer making her grand appearence. A dazzling blue sky smiling fondly against the mare's cornflowerblue coat adorned with colorful gumdrops for a birthmark upon neatly formed rump. Not a care in the world nipped at this little mare's worries causing her to toss about her mane back and forth, letting the springy curls dance about here and there in lavenders, pinks, and a soft white. Eyes shimmering like little gems eagerly catching the sun's perfect rays as she gazed upon the sea of emerald around her.
Smiling with a kick of her heels she noted a butterfly wanting to play and she nodded quite happily. She was nearing a small stream dancing lightly with giggles as she reached outward to touch the butterfly playfully.TheMadHatter He'd drunk his fill of the cool water and stared at a fish for a bit before he noticed something. His ears swiveled as he heard what sounded like laughing, no, it was higher pitched than that. Turning his head to follow his ears he saw something blue, something like Mama, playing with a butterfly.
Staying still he watched the mare for a bit rather than confront her. He wasn't usually one for social situations, the only other he knew besides his family being Tony, so he wasn't sure if he sho0uld even say something to her. Rein_Carnation Away it flew then back around to meet her landing softly upon her curly tail. The contrasts of its deep orange body upon the fluffy purples, pinks, and white lying within her tail. She giggled again stretching her head around to tag the butterfly when it flitted in the air just out of her reach.
"Well hello to you too Mr. Butterfly. Thank you for playing with me" she nodded throw ing up her head playfully as the butterfly flitted off toward a patch of flowers. Smiling she turned her head to notice a stallion composed in blue, green, and brown. He was watching her it seemed, so she raised her head up and smiled back at him.
"Hello there" she called out in a sweet soft voice, "Beautiful day isn't it? Mind if I come over and get a drink please?" she asked as the sun twinkled within her dazzling strange eyes. TheMadHatter Chasing butterfly's seemed like a useless way to spend time but it seemed like the mare was having fun. At least that was less stupid than something he figured his brother would do.
Wylie would have been chasing something like rabbit or a bird. Boys would look pretty silly going after something that delicate. He shook his head and then noticed that she'd noticed him. Damn, there went his chance to hopefully not get into anyone's day.
"Hello .... it is." The day was nice even if it was a little warm. When she asked about the water he turned his head to look at the stream. "It's not like i own it so i can't stop you anyway." Rein_Carnation Sweet Stuff giggled tossing her head as she headed over. Walking with a dainty swing to her stride she paused momentarily before reching the water. "Well its always nice to ask something before you do it. Thank you," she noted before leaning her neck downward to take in a wondorous cool refreshing drink.
When she was finished she looked back at the stallion with a twinkle in her eye. "I'm Sweet Stuff by the way. What's your name?" She continued to smile as her tail swished back and forth quite happily. "Mr. Butterfly was really nice to me this morning and on such a lovely day. I just love the springtime". She continued to smile at him as her nature always allowed her to. Such a sweet little mare that loved everything in the world that revolved around her. TheMadHatter His nose wrinkled slightly as he thought about that. It was nice to ask when you were doing something like using someone else's things but he'd never thought about asking to drink. The Lake didn't belong to anyone and neither did the rivers so he shouldn't have to ask just because someone else was around.
"Dodger.." He answered her question absently as he though about the water problem. He'd have to ask Mama about that when he returned home. When she started talking about the butterfly he looked back at her. She gave it a name? He tried to smile at her and not let her notice what he was thinking. Didn't fillies stop playing with butterfly's when they grew up?
"Uh ... yea. The warmth is nice" Rein_Carnation Sweet Stuff beamed quite proudly as the butterfly flitted back toward Dodger landing directly on his tail.
"Dodger. What a nice name you have," she giggled with a toss of her curly tresses pausing to smile even wider, "Oh look Mr. Butterfly has come to play with you too". Whinnying she danced in place excited that Mr. Butterfly had returned.
He was such a nice butterfly to return back to the joyous little mare. TheMadHatter "He wha..." His head turned slowly to look at the butterfly that had landed on his tail. Great. He was tempted to flick the curls to make the thing go away but that would be mean right?
The mare seemed to like the butterfly and she'd probably scold him if he was mean to it. He knew from his family that it wasn't good to make mares mad.
After the comment about his name filtered into his head he grinned slightly. "Thanks." Rein_Carnation Sweet Stuff laughed in such a sweet tone you couldn't help but laugh with her. Eyes twinkling she pranced in place in a little dance.
"Hey Mr. Butterfly you're being a bit rude. Never land on someone's tail cause they can't see you," she scolded with another soft laugh.
Looking back to Dodger she continued to smile. Either he was enjoying himself or just trying to be nice, even so she was happy just to have someone to finally talk to. TheMadHatter You really couldn't help but laugh with her though he was a little forced. He didn't really see what was so funny about the butterfly landing on his tail. Last thing he needed was to know his mass of curls was a magnet for small insects.
"I really don't think the butterfly can understand you. Besides if i were him i'd do whatever i wanted anyway." Though he'd probably stay away from anything that wasn't flower colored and he knew he defiantly wasn't flower colored. Rein_Carnation "Even so it feels good to say what you think, especially if something is trying to listen. And you know what? There are so many butterflies in the land that its hard to say which one is Mr. Butterfly," she nodded and blew outward giving the butterfly a lift to the sky so it wouldn't be bothering Dodger anymore.
She watched as it took off in flight, swirled around and landed directly on her nose. Without even trying not to she sneezed due to the tiny little legs tickling her.
Blinking she giggled as the butterfly flitted off elsewhere.
"Well now, I really wonder what that butterfly is thinking" she murmered turning back to Dodger, "Are you from around here? I only just arrived a couple months back?" TheMadHatter "There's probably some way to tell the Mr's from the Misses, couldn't tell ya what though." They were just bugs to him. He hadn't really seen any that he thought were nice looking and all they ever did was land on things and then flutter off. Must have been a mare thing.
"From the lake." That was technically around here in some sense. "Mama and Dah live there so that must be where i'm from too." Though he figured that Dah was from somewhere else entirely with the way he acted some times. Rein_Carnation "Ah I see," she nodded with a smile lighting her eyes, " That is so true that it could be male or female. Thank you so much for setting me straight with that," she beamed with a little dance of her front feet, "It must be wonderful to be born in a place such as this one, you are so lucky."
She then looked over the stream towards the higher hills.
"Ever wonder where this land leads to, like an island, or is it a huge body of land?" she asked with a wide look in her expression staring outward, "Even what strange soquili roam this world we're living in. If you think about iit it sounds never ending. The clouds, sky, water, grass, its all a bunch of little things that make this really wonderful place."
She turned back to him with an excited guise about her, letting the sun twinkle off of her eyes. Everything she learned was so facinating, and she had Dodger to thank for his outlook on the butterfly. TheMadHatter He was slightly taken aback at her words. Usually when he said something like that. His brother usually called him an a** and his parents sighed at him. She'd ... she'd completely ignored it as if it was just normal conversation.
"I believe it is a large body of land. I have not see any water but that of the lake and the rivers." He had walked around the Lake before so he knew it wasn't big enough to cut the land completely. Rein_Carnation ((Remind me never to have kids myself, taking care of 6 kittens is enough razz ))Sweet Stuff gazed at him with twinkling eyes.
"You've never seen the ocean then, my what a huge body of water that is." she exclaimed with a sweet purr as it rumbled in her chest, "Sometime you must go see it, what with the water, and the sansd, and the breeze that just whips your hair this way and that. Then you really know that the land you stand on is just a part of everything."
Turning to look at a passing cloud, "It must be wonderful to grow up and live where you were born. What is your family like for I don't have any family myself," she murmered turning back to him. TheMadHatter He looked at the curls falling into his face and though about all that getting wiped around by the wind. Somehow that didn't sound as pleasant as she seemed to think it was. He'd never be able to get his hair straight after all that. Sand sounded interesting though. There was some in places around the Lake but not enough for him to really know what it was all about.
"My family?" He'd never really thought about explaining them really. Tony had gotten the basics of it but then again he'd also met his parents. "They're normal i guess. Dah's a little weird cause i've got half siblings but Mama loves him so that's all that matters. They're smart ... Mama's a little protective though" Rein_Carnation She stared in an envious matter to think what it was like to live where your family was. Her homeland was where her own parents were in their own herds. Time had succedded into growing the little mare into a finely built adult, and thusly she ventured outward to explore what was all out there.
"Wow, Even half siblings makes up a big family. And there's nothing wrong with a protective mama, she helped you grow up to be big and strong," she noted with a shifting of her ears letting them swivel to listen closely to him.
"The herd that I'm staying with has big families themselves. The one called Celendria (herd mare) has two sons with her mate, and she adopted two daughters. And now the one daughter is having babies. Its all so wonderful to watch".
She beamed quite happily because herdlife and all the generations was a gem to witness. So many things going on and others coming and going, it was all so very exciting. TheMadHatter "Still sounds smaller than mine. Got Mama and Dah, two siblings. Then i've got three half siblings and their mama and her family ... and then there's my half sisters foals." He didn't know the rest of them though so he didn't really count them. "I guess it's nice. Always have someone to turn to."
Though he knew Mama and Dah would never turn him away if he had a problem. They loved him and his brother and sister too much. "Why'd you leave your family?" That didn't make much sense to him at all. He'd never want to go somewhere that he couldn't get back to Mama and Dah. Rein_Carnation "Well" she responded with a small smile, "I guess I wanted to see what else was out there in the world. And here I am".
She giggled in her usual manner thinking how adventourous the thought was to just pick up and leave from a world you knew most of your life. The blacker stallion she'd arrived with was quite grumpy and littereally stubborn, so of course he took off out on his own leaving her there. But it wasn't all bad really since there were so many things to see and do.
"But its still quite wonderful your family is as close as it was, being wild on the island things tend to drift apart much like the passing seasons. I guess things are done differently in different lands." In truth she was quite envious of a tight knit relationship like the soquili of this land, making a note she'd preform her own new tradition once her own family was started some day. TheMadHatter "Don't know if i'd call it wonderful." He never though about it really. It was just how things were done or something. His parents had never acted any differently. His best friend wasn't as close to his family but that was just them.
"Not everyone's like that. Some families aren't close ... and there's others who don't even know their families." The two mares that lived with the two leggers didn't know their parents. Though those weren't the best examples of Soquili that he could think of. Rein_Carnation She frowned thinking how families should always stay together, which was a positive thought in her wondorous little mind. She knew with Saissis, and now Glory that families were tight knit in the herd she roamed with occasionally.
"This is true, I know one mare that doesn't even know what her children look like and she feels really bad for that" she sighed with a sadness for the little flutter. So much you always heard of inexperienced mothers that were young and vulnerable, but you'd never guess it was one in your own herd.
"I guess some families are just different from others, because not everyone and everything is the same. I would say it makes us all unique in a way." TheMadHatter "I think that might be how the mother of those two weird sisters that live near mama and dah is." Then again with how messed up those two were their mother might not have even noticed they were gone. That wasn't a very pleasant thought but it could be true. It was better than thinking they'd been abandoned willingly.
"If everyone's family was the same things would get pretty boring. I mean no one would have funny stories to tell about their parents or anything like that." Rein_Carnation "Wierd sisters?" she tilted her head trying to understand, "Whay are they wierd? Do they do odd things I wonder like get into trouble?" she queried with curiousity. Same could be said for Celendria's little mish mash herd of all walfs of life. Some calm, some flighty, some even mischevious, but yet somehow they all lived quite equally and happy in the clearing.
Funny stories. Hmm she'd love to hear some if he wanted to take some time to. At least he was actually talking with her, that was good for a creating an acquantice with someone.
"Have you ever... err done something that everyone laughs at you for? I have a habit of tripping over my own feet still if I'm not careful, and I get made fun of because of it. But I just lift up my chin and keep smiling. Really gets to them ones that sit in giggle fits."
She hated herself for her clumsiness but it was who she was really. Simply smile at life and it will smile back.

{PRP} Racing like the Wind (Sweet Stuff and Houndoom ) Mon Apr 30, 2007 Rein_Carnation Sweet Stuff hummed to herself trotting a few paces then stopping to smell some daisies nearby, it seemed like all the soquili she'd met recently either ignored her or felt it was better elsewhere. Surely she wasn't being ignored because of who she was (a simple thought that came to mind). But what a silly thought that was, she was her own pony so why did it matter. So with an open mind and willing heart she was determined to befriend the next soquili she ran into, even if it killed her.starrystarberry The day was fine and the birds chirping were like a song playing just for him. As the scent of wild flowers came, a new friendship was about to be born.
Houndoom was drinking water in the nearby stream when he heard hoofs beating on the ground. He turned his head and saw another soquilli. 'Why is it only females i meet?' he thought to himself.
He decided to go over to introduce himself, ''Hello, i'm houndoom, nice to meet you," he said as he bowed down low politely. His instinct told him doing it would bring good luck.
He straightened himself up and waited for the female to answer, she was blue, he found a horse being blue odd but managed to take in the realityRein_Carnation Sweet Stuff looked upard to lay her eyes upon a massive stallion fitted nicely in black adorned with a rich red sable coloring to contrast nicely long with the silver plating. His eyes held great intrigue as his voice held a most interesting promise. Startled a bit she swallowed lightly dipping her head with a smile upon her pretty blue features, "Hello, I'm Sweet Stuff, its very nie to meet you as well" she smiled blinking her strange jeweled eyes back at him. (How strange it was for someone clear out of the blue, perhaps her luck was changing after all).
She paused for a moment scraping at her brain to say something to keep this fellow around so they could atleast chat. How silly she would have sounded saying something like Would you please be my friend or something of the sort. starrystarberry ((You dont know how much this means to me by RP-ing with me crying Thank you rein!)) Houndoom gazed into her glittering aluring eyes, and smiled politely back. He looked at her momentarily not saying anything as she looked like she was about to, but after awhile he gave up. "So, do you know where we are? My 2-legger and I have travelled from afar and she apparantly has not taken me to familiarise yet" he said, slightly embarrased. Rein_Carnation ((I may be a little slow hun but I always try and get caught up *snugs*))Sweet Stuff blinked for a moment and nodded "We're near the edge of the forrest where I live in the clearing with a very nice herd" she smiled back at him wondering what he was thinking, "So you and your two-legger are from another land I take it? What was it like there?"
She swished her curly tresses back and forth occasionally shaking her mane when the springy ones were sticking to her neck. Eyes wide on him she bared some courage and asked her dying question.
"I know this will sound odd and all coming from a mare such as myself, but are you by chance looking for a friend right now?" she queried with a knot in her stomach. "You see every soquili I usually meet just up and goes away. I voved to myself that the next soquili I'd meet would befriend me. Oh would you?" she pleaded with a glimmer in her eyes.
In all her hopes there was the possiblility that he'd say no, but on the other hand he could accept to. starrystarberry ((Thanks rein crying , i know this is weird but do u play wajas by any chance?)) Houndoom chuckled at her and nodded briefly, he also had no friends in this new land so he just agreed.
"I suppose you want to know more about me then? Well, let me start by saying that my tales would be long and exciting. So, why dont we sit down first. I expect to hear your tales afterwards," he added chuckling to her.
It was going to be a long day. Tirranna ((I have a waja account (eep never named my pups) I'm also on subeta and PI as well^^ Just don't have time for anything lately))Sweet Stuff beamed with pride that someone was finally talking to her. Maybe now her outlook on things would brighten and become full of life. Long days meant nothing unless they were filled with warmth and sunshine on a bright spring day. She could sit for ages if need be.
She nodded quite full of happiness to his request, "Of course. I'd love to talk about my homeland if you tell me about yours. Only fair don't cha think?" she smiled sitting firmly on her haunches beside him. starrystarberry (( crying thanks, you are really the nicest adult i know. crying Unless lady kiya is also an adult >w<;; Who did glory's baskets go to? I have to stalk the person for RP >w<; wink )
Houndoom's bloody red eyes glittered as he settled down next to sweet stuff. "Well, for starters, my homeland had never faced problems such as droughts and other ridiculous nature mess-ups. The place where i lived was like my own kingdom. My human loves exploring, its a she by the way." He added nodding.
"Close your eyes and try to imagine a field, greener than any green you've seen before. Imagine flowers, of every kind and every color. Imagine smells, so fragrant and unique that no word could describe it. Imagine standing under the sun sunbathing, with the world flashing by." Houndoom nickered softly, taking in a deep breath.
"Imagine friendly villagers, living in plain houses, not too big nor too small, not extremely delighted nor crying in dispair. Imagine their children with smiles on their faces so lovely that it could light up the night sky." The retelling of his past homeland was making his heart ache.
"Can you see my homeland?" Rein_Carnation ((Mintaka, Hel Mel, and myself^^ I try to be as nice as I can to everyone hoping they'll do the same in return. ))Sweet Stuff closed her twinkling eyes and pictured what he was trying to descibe. Wonderful images flowed before her like a livid stream full of endless wonders. Occasionally she giggle softly making little quirky faces and such for she had a wonderful imagination.
She noticed the emerald fields with flowers growing all around in vast colors and hues. Oh how sweet they smelled as her own hooves brushed by a few here and there. Such colors in every hue becomed her every attention. Then the warmth of the sun basking the world and herself was simply amazing in which she released another giggle.
Then there was the inhabitants, villagers much like the kawani tribe down in the valley from where they stood, all harmoniously working together, singing songs, and simply enjoying life to the fullest. Indeed his homeland was a magnificent and wondorous place.
When she'd finally relived his description, her eyes fluttered open to gaze back at him in a twinkling happiness, "Yes I can, oh what a wondorous place you come from Houndoom. It makes me want to visit there someday if I ever have the chance."
She smiled and beamed raising her head and neck toward the warmth of the radiant sun, "Now I think its my turn to tell you about Dream Valley." starrystarberry ((They certainly must be honoured 3nodding ))
Houndoom smiled at her expressions, 'She certainly has a good imagination to see my homeland in such a short period of time' he thought.
But just then he looked at her, shock written in bold letter all over his face. "But.. Sweet stuff... I thought we were talking about our homeland not any dream valley of sorts, or is your homeland called dream valley?" he asked her confused, he definitely did not want to think his lovely homeland was imaginary.
Rein_Carnation ((Indeed. These will be some gorgeous babies))Sweet Stuff smiled and nodded with a bright smile, "Yes. My homeland was called Dream Valley, its where a lot of the soquili with marks like on my ruimp come from." she beamed with a swish of her curly tail.
"See I'm definitely not native to this land, moreso off far away from here".
She closed her eyes shifting her legs picturing her homeland with an almost pang of sadness she'd left those good days behind her.
"Dream Valley," she began with a soft chime in her voice, "Was so different than this beautiful place we're standing in right now. There were emerald green fileds of swaying grasees so deep it was like standing in a wave at the ocean. And the wonderful fresh scent of the ocean that always sweap through."
She paused for a moment inhaling deeply as she had back home.
"There is a huge waterfall that likes in the center of the valley that is called "Rainbow Falls" because just the way it is set up with the sun shining down, it actual looks like a big rainbow falling to the pool below. Wonderful apple, pear, peach, and cherry trees grow all over the place, and oh sweet the fruit is" she beamed with a happy giggle.
"There was no two-leggers though since it is a wild land that soquili such as myself raised babies of their own and ran in their own herds. We all are quite different in color, but its really nice to see someone else with a different color such as yourself. Not purple, blues, or pinks like the herd I was raised within".
She paused and looked back at him still with a soft smile and open mind. Dream Valley had always been her home and now this place, this valley she stood upon was her niche where she lived. starrystarberry ((erm... if u dont mind me saying this... i'm feeling envious... sweatdrop glory was a good friend whee ))Houndoom nodded politely and adjusted himself upon the grass. He did not fidgit often but he now felt he must, the reason? He know not.
He closed his eyes and imagined a vast sea of shimmering emerald green, dew drops gleaming in the soft sunshine like tiny pearls. The sweet smells in the air and the waterfall which was as violently coloured as the magnificent rainbow. He imagined the herds of horses, each unique and yet all of the same kind.
He smiled, where she lived was paradise, no two-leggers to wreck havoc or of any sort of trouble could exist. He opened his eyes and looked directly into sweet stuff's beautiful eyes.
"I am honoured to see your homeland. It is a wonderful place and i can even sense an eternity of peace that lies ahead of it." He said honestly, "I also saw your herds racing, do you race well?" He questioned her raising an eyebrow. His mane drooped a little over his eye and he stood up to stretch.
Swishing his tail as looked at the sky, it had a rainbow. "Look," he murmured gently to her. "Our ending point, but first, i hope you'd say yes to something"
His lips curled upwards into a sly smile, the glint of mischeif in his eyes extremely obvious. Rein_Carnation ((*snugs* She's always been my favorite MLP down through the years. Ah waja #10690 btw if you need to look me up))"Oh yes of course I do" she returned her smile with a happy nod letting the sun glisten in those twinkling eyes of hers, "And thank you so much for seeing what my homeland looks like, its almost like adream but it truly does exist."
She smiled with a sway in her form moving one front hoof then the other almost in a little dance. His question though raised her curiousity which made her pause and watch him closer.
"Say yes to something?" she tilted her head with curiousity and intrigue.
Now she was wondering just what he was thinking by that coy look he was harboring. starrystarberry ((*ish snugged* I like dream blue xd My wajas is 22345 xd ))"Oh yes, oh yes" said Houndoom slyly, he was going to make this sound very suspicious.
"Well, go to somewhere quiet to do this," he said walking over to her side. " It's gonna have to be extremely deserted" He breathed into her ear as his mane accidentally brushed her.
"Well? wadda ya say? Yes?" He asked her brightly, Rein_Carnation ((That reminds me to check for her at the Meet on Sat^^))Sweet Stuff let her heart flutter at his sneakiness. Such a sweet mare she'd follow anything yet she was a bit nervous. Blinking she turned her head following his movement with a bit of curiousity.
She took a deep breath as her mind pondered what was going to happen. Though her agreement came out faster than she realized.
"Sure. I like surprises", she nickered with a bright smile" though all the while wondering just what her new friend was up to. starrystarberry ((*does the jig* mythrill looks sho pretteh!! so does feena!! eek Check??))((happy page 2!! xd ))
Houndoom was taken aback by her quick reply, usually mares would consider his request. But her! She was so assured that it was not life endangering or anything or the sort! She trusted him so quickly! He snorted at her reply unhappily, he had just got to tell her what they were going to do...
"okay... Since you agreed... Any place in mind which is brightly lit, and deserted? It has to be big of course, we couldn't possible do it in a small place." He nickered in reply. Rein_Carnation ((My pretty babies. I'm shooting to get my maoh Yuri from Kyo Kara Maoh next custom opening whee ))She pondered enlessly it seemed on what he was trying to figure out. Repeating his words one by one she contemplated a place while her butterflies took effect still wondering what this soquili was planning.
"Umm let me think, well the only open places I can think of that are" she paused on the next word letting it draw out uneasily, "deserted... are the big meadow south of here or the ocean shoreline".
She tilted her head wisping her tail back and forth quite happily. Perhaps this was a game that he was planning, he didn't seem to be the type of kalona that hides in sheep's clothing. starrystarberry (( All the best in snagging a spoot!! I'm giving you this link, look out for glory... ninja ... whee )) "Hm.. I see... Then my lady," Houndoom said with much politeness as he bowed down to her again, "Shall you... Lead the way?" Houndoom raised his head and swished his tail from side to side eagerly.
His expression exposed nothing. But on the inside he was jumping and bouncing with utter happiness like a child once more. It had been a long time since he had raced with anyone. He usually asked stallions whom he knew were good at it but to race a mare! A first in his whole life.
It was going to be much fun indeed. Rein_Carnation (( whee ))Sweet Stuff nodded responding with a soft "Okay", then turned herself to face the opposite way pausing a moment, "Umm which was it you wanted to go? Ocean or the meadow?".
She felt really silly just then wondering what they were planning to engage in this secreative spot. But of course it was proper to ask where one was going to, for getting there you needed to know how and why.
So she waited still feeling a bit naive that her sense of direction could follow either way really. starrystarberry ((http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12244897&page=1 gogogo!!! glory is up for auction!! at the erm.. FS thread >w<; wink ) Houndoom apologised to sweet stuff sadly for not telling her which way he wanted to go and bowed. " I'm SO sorry sweet, shall we go to the meadow? We dont want to slip on the sand now do we? I remember the last time i slipped, it hurt so much that i couldn't even walk properly!" He added embarrased.
He could feel his face turning red slowly but acted as if it wasen't there. He saw sweet stuff with a look on her face saying that she could have not paid attention and was embarrassed and said to her, " It was my fault sweet, you are a good friend that pays attention. Don't blame yourself... If you are..." He smiled cheekily at her.
A slight breeze played with his mane and tail as he waited for a response from her. He was virtually lost. Rein_Carnation ((Ebil Ebil to tempt me.... yeah I bid xd ))She blinked at him as her eyes captured various colors in her gemstone orbs, " Well yeah I'm your friend silly. You said you'd be so that's perfectly fine with me".
Turning her head away from the sea route she noted where the meadow was.
Wondering with curiousity, just what they were going to be doing in the meadow. She flushed her cheeks with a bit of blush then shook her head. Friends don't do stuff like that, must be something else. But what did one do in an open meadow when they weren't grazing she wondered. Moving right along she lead him to the vast meadow stretched out in emerald greens reaching in long stalks toward the deep blue sky. Swaying back and forth with the passing breeze, why to her it could of been Dream Valley for a moment in time.
"Alright we're here. Now... what was it you wanted to do?" she queried with a bright smile. Seemed like the perfect day for a good run though a sea of grass. starrystarberry (( surprised rein, did star catcher get a spot in the breedings raffle?? cool *pokes rein sig* cool ))Houndoom followed sweet stuff politely. Although he hated the silence throughout their journey to the meadow, he was glad he could spend time with her. In no time at all, he saw a vast green sea.
Houndoom looked over to Sweet stuff, " Well.. First.. We're gonna have to find a spot where the grass is not too fresh and absolutely mouth-watering." That whole sentence he said, should have very well gave her a clue that they were doing something not related to eating.
"And after that..." Houndoom was bubbling with excitement when he said the last few words, " We race." Rein_Carnation (( whee after 8 months in raffles one of my babies actually won* ))Did he say race she blinked with a wide grin followed by a soft bell-like giggle.
Oh good for a moment there I thought... nah I was being silly.
Looking around them she saw a nice patch of foilage including sweet clovers, "Will that do or are you looking for something else?
She danced in place a little. To race, actually race again like back home. Sure when she was a foal she was clumsy, but now full grown she loved having the wind blo w through her curled hair. starrystarberry ((Grats' first breeding only gets 2-3 baskets right?))Houndoom grinned at her expression. He looked over to where she mentioned and frowned sadly. "No.. No.. We would just trample someone's meal. How about.. There??" he asked sweet stuff tilting his head over.
The grass was half withering and he was sure that wouldn't be anyone's meal. The sun was setting. At the horizon he saw an old apple tree.
"We shall have to start soon sweet, for the sun is setting. Is the old apple tree as the finishing point okay to you? Or is it too far?" He asked, he would not want to race an extra mile if she didn't. Rein_Carnation ((Yep. I'm curious to see what they'll pop open to wink ))She blushed raspberry knowing that she had gotten something wrong like usual, but laughed it off as she always had for anyone can make a positive mistake in anything they'd do.
"Oh okay. Looks wonderful to me." she noted flicking her tail back and forth "I agree it is getting late though, shall we begin?"
Giving a small toss of her head, shae added weight to her legsto feel the strength in them. A good run always worked out the many kinks that could linger in one's legs.

{PRP}Sweetness and Mint...*Sweet Stuff & Spearmint* Sun Mar 11, 2007 Rein_Carnation This RP is for Mintaka and myself. Please ask before you post here.A single mare dusted with blue adorned with sweet confectionaries shapped like gumdrops upon her rump walked along without a care within the world. She moved like a soft cloud as her voice seeped outward like a little melody. Days had been warming up lately and she sought the spring that lingered just inches behind her grasp.
Smelling the air that seemed so sweetly she cooed intaking a nearby patch of the most vibrant spearmint. Green as it grew her heart leapt with joy for it was true the season was shifting. Giggling with joy she danced a bit and looked forawrd towards the shining sky. Mintaka Spearmint walked along, rustling past another patch of hsi namesake as he strolled. He paused a moment to n** a leaf from it, nibbling it a bit. The taste was sharp, a bit tangy, yet interesting. The smell was ncie as well, and at least he could say he smelle dncer then some other stallions.
He snickered to himself a moment, shading his head and letting his mane fall back into place, looking around. An ear twitched as he picked up sounds, and ehaded in that direction. It wasn't a horrible sound, but rather pleasant - almsot like the sounds his mother used to make when he was but a foal in the basket.
He found himself drawing up short as he caught sight of the source of the sound, straightening up a bit. Indeed, the source had been female in origin, and a Soquili like himself it seemed. Well then, best be on behavior and show off that charm! After all, it wasn't right for a man to disrespect a woman and act like a slumball. He had a reputation to ... make? How could he not follow in his father's footsteps, either? He took a few more steps forward, careful not to startle her, but simply to see if she noticed. Rein_Carnation She smiled warmly with her eyes closed letting the breeze carry her pleasantly. Such a gorgeous day it was. Why if she was even braver she'd take a good roll later, well pertaining no one was around to see a little blue mare roll like a foal in the tall grasses. It just wasn't ladylike to participate in getting your coat all full of dirt and grime and... aww but it looked like so much fun didn't it?
She giggled reopening her eyes to lie upon a stallion that almost seemed the same shade as herself; a cheery almost soft pastel blue. Her breath gasped out of her lungs in a brief little "oh" before she rebounded with, "Hi there" in a soft sudued childlike voice.
Her eyes twinking like little starry gems that blinked without her approval.
"Lovely day isn't? Nice breeze too" she smiled back with another twinkle playfully bouncing off her eyes. It wasn't everyday a stranger just stood there watching you. The least you could do is say hello right? Overjoyed she beamed at him admiring the shining mane and tail that shimmered in the sunlight while hers was a mixture of sweet pinks, whites, and purples. She still was fascinated though that his coat was like hers only fuller and sleeker, he definitely came from royalty, this she was sure of. Mintaka He bowed his head slightly in response, approaching closer. "Hello there," he said in an attempt to be smooth and calm. "It is a nice day, with a lvoely breeze. EENough to make even myself want to go out and about to enjoy it."
He swished his tail a moment, looking her over. He noticed then, now closer, that seh too had a mark on her flank much like his mother and father. Did they know each other? It created an awkward pause in his mind before he brushed it aside, it was a silly thing to wonder about.
"My name is Spearmint," he said, bowing more properly to her. "It's only proper I should introduce myself... I hope I didn't interrupt anything." Rein_Carnation She watched, admiring he politeness and regard that she had greeted him warmly. Always in a batch of bad apples there stood out a shiny one from all the rest, this she thought well of her judgement. No sourness or tart behavior, just a nice stallion greeting her on a fine summer's day.
"I'm Sweet stuff" she nodded with a bright giggle, "Nice to meet you Spearmint" she commented with another twinkle in her darling eyes that shifted like an opal in the sunlight.
"So uh.. what brings you out this way? I'm on a little stroll enjoying the day before it might rain". Her senses told her it would rain later of course, always did on pretty days. But the rain was nice too to cool things off and such.
She was happy for a little company hoping he'd chat with her some more. Wasn't everyday you met someone that was nice and respective of another. Made your heart feel all gooey inside knowing so. Mintaka Sweet Stuff... an approrpiate name, he thought, admiring her a moment longer. He then took a breath, relaxing a bit before speaking. "Out to enjoy the day while I can - also felt like roaming among the spearmint a little and getting away from the others." He laughed quietly, closing his eyes a moment. Yes, getting away from his mother was always a good thing when she was in a chatty mood.
Aside, she might take it in her head to do something to his hair, which he'd strived so hard to make so ... well, glamorous. He ahd to look his best, and keep up the family thing and all - he respected his father and learned from the best! Well, sort of. If Minty tried to straighten it again he'd probably go nuts. It did what it wanted anyway, and looked good. WHy did mothers have to be picky?
"If it rains, all the fine, the plants do good with it, and it feels nice on the coat. Keeps the bugs away, too." He opened his eyes a moment, chuckling. "Aside, emeting others is always nice. I'm always chastised if I linger around too much, and then more if I'm gone too long. Go figure." Rein_Carnation Sweet stuff admired him and his gallant outlook on life. He seemed so mesmerizing standing there in her twinkling eyes. Maybe rain wasn't such a bad thing now that she looked at it. Always left a nice curl to her mane when it dried back. So yeah it wasn't all bad, she admitted it now.
She watched him before smiling back at him out of habit. Sweet Stuff couldn't resist out of habit giving wonderful replies and doting on how beautiful others were. She thought herself a simple creature. Happiness was always an outlook, and she followed it with a smile, always. Even bad things could come out of good if you let them.
"The spearmint is really nice, smells like summer to me" she giggled with a swish of her curly tail, "I just thought on the fact if I stay out in the rain my mane and tail get really curly. That happen to yours too?" she asked with a curious soft brushed tone in her voice.
"I love meeting others since there's so many personalities out there. Good. Bad. Boring. Hyper" pausing she turned her full gaze back on him, "Which personality would you say I have spearmint?"
She watched him thoughtfully almost giggling to herself. Always to know where you stood when it came to good impressions after all. Mintaka He gave a toss of his head, showing off his somewhat curly hair. "My hair usually curls anyway, when dry, anyway, so it doesn't bother me. I like it that way." He nodded in agreement with that, proud of how his mane was.
He chuckled then, tackling thenext part of the conversation. Pauses for long times could be detrimental to the mood. "Mmm, I would say perky," he said with a quick wink. "Which is a good thing. It's a liveliness and vibrancy akin to the plants in full bloom."
He mentally winced at how stupid that mgiht have sounded once said, but ti was true - he rather liked such things. He'd once heard someone comment his colors - at least his hair - was like the flower fields. As a colt he thought that girly, but as he aged he realized it was a good thing. After all... girls liked flowers, did they not? Rein_Carnation She laughed in such a soft manner that it made a cute wisping noise as her eyes sparkled. It had been awhile since she actually just had a normal conversation and simply laughed and enjoyed what she was doing.
How interesting it had been on the subject of hair and the way it lied and grew. She was rather fond of beautiful things in life, especially those which another cared about. Given the chance she'd extend a helping hoof to help anyone in need. There was hope it would be returned as well, but to do something nice and make others happy was her goal.
His personality response made her literally giggle. Was she perky in things she did? Being referenced to such beautiful things made her cheeks blush. Never was good at keeping a compliment for so long.
Trying to think of something else Sweet Stuff gazed out over the fields of grass swaying back and forth like the rhythm of the tide in the ocean.
"Say fancy a walk with me? Its such a pretty day and you're very nice to talk to." she nodded turning back to smile at him with that familiar gleam in her eyes. Mintaka "Sure," he said, walking over to her side, trying not to strut. "No sense in letting a lovely day go to waste, unenjoyed and unexplored." He looked out over the grass, the endless potentials out there. Only time could tell what would really come to be here, but her companyw as plesant and enjoyable, and much more preferred to being alone some more.
"Though I should let you lead, as I don't usually go this way as much." Rein_Carnation Sweet Stuff beamed with a smile. Wow he accepted. She laughed with a soft coo nodding back to him. "Oh okay" she responded to him looking out over the grass. Did she know the way? If not she'd know it later. Oh well one way to find out.
Stepping lightly over the grass she flicked her curly tail smiling, "This way".
Tossing her head she walked at an even pace waiting for him to walk along side her. She pondered things to talk about, anything really to just keep his attention. She feared saying something wrong would get a kick in the rump, so avoiding that was a good measure.
"Were you born in this area?" she asked with a simple question to start they're walk. Wouldn't hurt to learn who he was, so she started with that route. Mintaka "Sort of," he said, keeping pace with her. "I was born down along the river's edge at a teepee. My mother was taken in by the two-leg there and cared for after running away from another two-leg." He lowered his head slightly, sighing. "She's gotten past that at least, but sometimes I think it still haunts her. Dad meanwhile is a unicorn." He perked up then, chuckling. "I have two brothers, somewhere. They went wandering, I stuck with mom and the others... but I've been going out more lately, with the weather changes and all."
He scanned the grass a moment, pondering how best to continue this. "What about yourself? Are you from around here too?" Rein_Carnation The air was quite wonderful as they walked along and the little blue mare felt content she had a conversation instead of a rejection to work with.
"Actually no," she responded with a bashful smile, "I'm not from around here. I'm from a far off place that's really different than this one. She frowned looking down at the grass for a moment. "No one seems to believe me when I speak of open pastures and a great waterfall that reflects a rainbow when the sun is at its highest.
She felt silly almost repeating the tale of her homeland, for surely he wouldn't believe her like all the rest. She was just a silly little mare with a great imagination. That's what they all believed anyway.
"Well, you sound like you have a very wonderful mother and family. Family is what keeps the herds together and keeps them safe". Sweet Stuff felt so proud of herself, feeling more confident as they moved along. This was a good start. Mintaka His ears pricked slightly at what she mentioned and searched through his mind. Something about that... could that really be...
"No, I don't think you're silly," he said, a slight bit quick. "I mean, really, that doesn't sound that odd. It sounds vaguely fmailiar actually. Maybe..." He sighed then, shaking his head. "My mother may have mentioned something..." His brow furrowed in frustration then, as he slowed a moment. He then shook his ehad, catching up once more.
"My mother looks after us, when we're around her," he said. "And now that she's less afraid and acclimated to the area, she's a lot more personable and happy. I heard from Kahaina about how skittish and scared she was at first. I like seeing her happy." Rein_Carnation So why not continue where it had started and hope, just maybe this day may it rain, might hold some sort of sunshine behind those drifting clouds above them.
His sudden reaction and words of "remembering, hearing" about her homeland peaked the little blue mare's interest. Perhaps his mother was from her homeland as well. How grand that would be to learn others from Dream Valley galloped in these lands.
"Ah I see," she nodded, with a twinkle in her eye. "Perhaps your mother could of came from the land I hail from I wonder. See most of the herd carried various markings, like my gumdrops," she pointed out, sticking her muzzle outward to point in the general direction. She was certain even Spearmint was related to the wild, colorful herd roaming freely back home.
She trotted playfully, shaking her head back and forth with a flick of her tail.
"I wonder what fun things there are to do around here?" she turned smiling at Spearmint, "Perhaps a treasure hunt would be lots of fun if there were a whole herd to play. Have you ever been in one?" She knew it was silly to ask, but why not, perhaps he'd want to play a game and not think her boring. It was worth a shot anyway.
