Yes, i know i'm going to be bashed ^_^ but i gotta take the lashes now before i can dish 'em out lata. lol xd AAAANNNNYYYWAAAYYYSSS...what i'd really like is for you to crit my general proportions and stuff. i have here several drawings (WIPS) [i don't expect you to crit all, but more specific help on the first 3 would be nice], and i'd like the major flaws common in all to be pointed out so i can work on it biggrin it doesn't matter that i've put on clothes and stuff. i know i should've waited until i got down the general anatomy, but dressing them is the most enjoyable part and i couldn't resist 4laugh So i'm quite prepared to erase most, if not start over, the drawing.

They all kind of feel to me like you don't really know how a face relates to itself - the placements of the eyes, nose, mouth and chin seem to be sort of random throughout your examples. I would highly recommend that you have a look at some facial anatomy reference so that you can get a feel for the relationship between the different facial features.

I believe there is some facial reference available in the Fagtools sticky in this guild.

Your clothes are much better than your anatomy. You have a really good use of line weight in the clothes, especially in the girls wearing skirts.

The bodys are odd in many ways, the first girl who has the best face has a really weird elbow and wrist, I can almost bend my real arm that way but I wouldn't unless I was trying to pull a muscle. The other arm seems to be lacking a hand.

The girl blowing in the wind is nice from the chest down, her right hand is a bit boxy and small but otherwise it all looks fairly natural and has that same use of thick and thin lines which makes your work appealing.

Have done life drawing classes I have to say even if you heard it a thousand times it IS the best thing for practicing anatomy and you will be able to look through your sketch book like a flip book animation and see your work improving.

Thank you, that was very helpful^_^ Drawing humans from life is a real turn off for me because i don't get people to pose! I only have myself to use in the mirror or if i take an inverted photo of my hand, which, i guess, comes out very weird since that's what i did with the first one sweatdrop i've been trying to move away from manga and more towards realism but manga is just too goddamn cute. I mean, when i visualise it in my head as a realist pic, or a manga pic, the manga wins almost every time sweatdrop But i'll try my best seeing that i have the rest of my life to get it right stressed which is SOOOOO long away from now....Oh well wink BUt thank you! heart (btw, i don't do the thick and thin lines on purpose xd those are what i'd call "messy" LOL)

Anatomy is just practice <3 I find it helpful when drawing limbs to think of the start and end so in the case of your arm, the finger is the end and the shoulder is the start. You know you want the finger on the face so draw it in how you want it then work backwards connecting the joints

The wrist does not bend 90 degrees to the side like that, so you would have to either lift the elbow up away from her body or rotate the finger around like so
