I've been looking to run something, as you have have noticed.

I'm not all that picky over what, so i figured it'd make sense to go for the one with the most interest!

If there's anything you'd like to suggest (KoTE, Hunter etc), mention it here. Also, if there's more than one you'd like to play vote for your favorite, then list then in a reply, in priority order.

Mage is, in my opinion, diverse enough to draw any type of player, and has a wide enough scope (Earth + Umbra = Tellurian) to provide for any type of game. The magic system rewards creativity, but its flexibility can also prove to be a headache for the Storyteller, so if you choose to run this one, you've been warned. You want something that easily gets shaped and redirected by the players? Mage is your game.

Hunter is also a solid choice, because its emphasis is, for once, all about being the underdog. Sure, Kindred neonates have a hard unlife, bowing and scraping to their elders, but even they are so far above the average human, they have no right to complain. And lets not even mention what happens with Mages and Garou... So, yeah, a game where we don't know Jack, can't heal quickly, and are slipping into paranoia could be quite eye-opening for anyone who has only ever played as a supernatural.

(This started off as a reply to Redford, but I'm expanding it to mention what I like about All the ones I suggested

Mage
Mage, I'd like to run online. It's a game that'd work well online, I think - the slower pace means players have time to plan out magic, and I have chance to retcon the storyline, without all of spending 10 minutes sitting around the table while one person "ums" a lot, and tries to figure out what's going on.
Mage also gives the most options - almost anything can be run in Mage, due to the variety of the Traditions and the sheer number of Umbral Realms - if you can imagine it, there's a realm out it out there somewhere

Freak Legion
This appeals to me, partly because it's a short-term game. Fomori-Spawn dont last long.
It's a game of degredation and decay - you've become horrible monsters, and the very thing that's giving you power is also eating away your body and your mind. You're working for people who are irrefutably evil, but wont discover the consequences of your actions untill it's far, far too late

Wraith: The Great War
...and you thought Freak Legion sounded depressing wink
I'm a big fan of Wraith - it's easily my favorite of the WoD lines, and Great War is possibly the most interesting timeperiod - a Maelstrom rages, a storm of supernatural power that carries the minion of Oblivion with it, desperate to claw you down into nothingness. There's a Civil War going on, as an entire faction of Sygia rises up against to place The Smiling Lord in control of the Underworld.
Plus the guilds still exist legally, and they're sweetass.

Changeling
Changeling is both the most joyous and saddest of the WoD line - playing creatures made from Dreams, you fight to keep a world laughing and to keep imagination alive. The Changeling world is one of courtly romance, dashing swordsmen and magical wonders, but that only goes to counterbalance the decay and bleakness of the rest of the WoD, that threatens to overrun everything.

Hunter
I've run Hunter online before. The game crashed due to player disinterest, but it was fun while it lasted.
I tend to play fast and loose with the Creeds - generally picking them myself based on your characters background (and potentially changing them as the game goes on, if I've gotten it wrong), I think it works better with what Hunters actually are (I also love supernatural combat in it, and not having to bother to roll for any vuagley experienced creature - you Know it's going to win).
It's also one of the few WoD games I can seriously describe as Horror. Certainly personal horror - when the only way to stop the things you hate is to become them, and the only way to protect the things you love is to drive them away from you.

I'm always up for a game of Mage. The most entertaining time I ever had playing Mage was my Euthanatos mage had two game session argument about paradigm, civilization, culture, and politics with a Verbena. Then we went out, killed some Techies, and looted them for Tass.

It looks like Mage so far. In fact, I'm willing to run with just the two of you, if needs be - Mage can be personal enough that it still works well.
It's just more work on your parts twisted

I gave my vote for Changeling, for that I've not had a chance to play it before. I'm up for Mage too.

I'm up for anything really as I've not played any of these before. I gave my vote for Changeling though as I've heard interesting things about it. I'm equally particularly interested in Wraith.

Happy with Mage if that's how it goes though smile

Well we're back now to 50/50 lol

So we either wait to see if anyone else is signing up*, or see if anyone changes their mind.

*so long as they dont vote for a third thing...

If you have ideas for the story, or a some other hints of what you have in mind, please share them a little. I believe it could help to decide or at least you'd hear comments from us possible players.

I've nothing specific planned out yet for any, tbh - I've vuage ideas that I should be able to flesh out, once I get characters.

Mage would most likely be a slightly altered revised (where the Avatar Storm as died down some. Because the Astral Realms are too awesome to avoid).
In fact, from what I can gather, it's pretty much 2nd Ed. setting. As there'll be plenty of those pesky technocrats. and Epic storylines.

Changeling would be a relatively chivlaratic setting - primarily Seelie (maybe all Seelie, depending on what people say). I've always enjoyed the fairy-tale aspect of Changeling, so there'll be plenty of that - Dragons, probably the Dauntain too.

That makes me lean more heavily on Changeling side, it sounds more interesting. Even that's a really a new to me, I'd prefer that. I'd love to play in that kind of setting. Dark fairy tales, hhmmm....!
Technocrats, because of one idiotic ingame shout, give me cold shivers. "Hey, let's be Techno-Cops! That's a good name!" My world shattered....

No-ones posted anything else here for a week, and it's a tie. So I think I'm going to just say Changeling - it's easier to write for, due to your lack of story-derailing powers and less paragon-conflict.

I'll set up a new thread for it now (though I'd apreciate a subforum for it, if the mod's are reading this)
