Speaking as an Ex-Chaote, I can attest to the effectiveness of Chaos Magic. Reality is quite pliable, and Chaos Magic is an efficient means of achieving results without binding yourself to a specific doctrine or organization. However, it requires it's practitioners to be able to achieve a very special state of mind which I can no longer access. If you have what it takes, Chaos Magic is one of the most pragmatic schools of magic available to the solitary practitioner.

I have read up a bit on chaos magick. . it is true though that emotions will draw more energy. . and being able to switch spectrums can be useful . .
I know people want to beleive that those that are the most spiritual are the most powerful, but that isnt always true. . people who are either very willful or very emotional are usually pretty strong. . the spiritual can often be more unsure and humble, so often less strong unless they have a strong will for others (have NEVER found someone who has this. People who seem to have a strong will for others, of the ones I have found, have a strong will for their veiw of what others should be, which isnt the same at all) or have found their way more. .
So in this way chaos perspective can be useful for power. . although with its ideas of you can beleive whatever you want, who you are or what you connect to to find what you will be is more in your hands. . this is a good thing becuase people really need to learn how to find their own voice, but if people just take this to mean that they should be anything it could perhaps be more problematic, especially for others. .
That is my take on chaos magick though. . I also am not an expert on it, got lazy didnt finish reading my books. . lol

in chaos magic one thing you have to remember is that lust for results = NO results -- not the ones you want at any rate. it is all about putting your 'spell' out into the world and FORGETTING IT -- at least, not thinking about it until it has come to reality. THEN you can be like "oh yay it worked"
i've been studying cmt for about four years now. however i wouldn't say i practice it, though my methods are self-created... as someone has already mentioned chaos magic requires you to get into a really intense trance state and i have yet to perfect it. i AM working on it but for now i just do my own thing, which is a lot more like Huna
