Kimia smiled softly as she slipped through the woods of the Kusini. She had no idea of the myths of it being haunted, so she was not afraid. Actually she had no idea where she was or that she was going into foreign territory. She never did, no one was there to teach her about any of the prides or any of that stuff. So none of it bothered her, it was almost as if she was one of the fabled ghosts who wandered the forest.
She'd been there a few days and had never wandered into the great feilds bordering the woods; she never had need to. But today she was starving and the squirels all seemed too fast, the berries all too bitter. She was a horrible huntress... she needed to find someone to help her!
So bravely she was moving past the woods and toward the heart of the kusini lands.

Adamu’s new coat wrinkled with scars as he jumped on top of a large rock. His claws slowly grazed along its surface as he glanced out at the lands before him. He was bigger now, older too and his once lack of backbone was now fully covered with a rough, tough exterior. He was a lot stronger that before and didn’t show any sorrow anymore.
When he was younger he cried a lot because of the loss of his mother, but… but now it all seemed pointless. All he wanted now was perfection. He wanted to make himself into the best he could be. The best hunter, the best king. Adamu wanted it all.
He was going to become what he was questing for, one day he would. He would make his mother proud.
With a soft smirk he rolled himself upward and sat still gazing out at the oddly colored female that slowly trotted he way.
He cocked a brow and spoke out with confidence.
“And what do you think your doing in MY lands?”

She moved along with her joyful additude but that always had to end, didn't it? She froze after hearing the words and blinked, head tilting. It was more of a startled freezing than being scared of anyone. No, in fact she was quite happy to see another. He could help her with hunting!
She moved forward and almost jumped onto the rock, but refrained. "You lands?" She questioned, her voice soft and barely above a whisper. "What do you mean? All land is the lions home." She said, serious as hell. She grinned warmly at him, not at all put off at his jerky additude.

“Hah, you have jokes.”
Adamu laughed and quickly jumped off of his rock. Slowly he walked toward her and smirked, speaking with a rather condescending tone.
“I don’t think that’s true, not at all.”
He stopped and snorted.
“What’s your name, anyway?”

She blinked, wondering why he thought she was joking. "No, not really. Maybe a few jokes.." She said slowly and continued to smile at him. They were about the same size, though she was older.
"I'm Kimia! Anyways, can you hunt?" She asked, unabashed.

Adamu’s eyes narrowed as she spoke. He didn’t understand her. She was very odd to him.
“Hunt? Yeah, I can. What’s it to ya?”
He asked with a soft snarl. He felt like she was playing with him. He didn’t like to be played with. He puffed his chest some to seem threatening but it really did fail. He was a very lean lion after all, even his mane that was growing in looked silly and thin.

She winced and stepped back, she didn't really like all of the noises he made. "Because I am a terrible hunter." She giggled and nibbled the bottom of her lip in a childish manner. "And I would like someone to help me. I'm hungry.." She explained, head tilting very slightly as she looked questioningly at him, wondering if such a grouch would want to help her at all. "But it's alright. I can find someone else."
She looked around slowly. "Where are all the elses?" Sometimes her speech was a little odd, she'd taught herself that too. She was pretty good, being self taught and all. She could even mimic sounds of animals very well! But she never thought of using that while 'hunting'.

"Hey wait."
He stamered and frowned again. That wasn't fair, judging him before she knew him! He hated that. Moving himself a bit closer to her he spoke out.
"I can help you hunt, I am good at hunting."
He was showing off kind of, or at least he wanted to. Glancing at her as she spoke he cocked his head at her words. She spoke so oddly... yet, he found himself smiling at it. She was kind of cute, like a tiny cub cute. He couldn't help it.
"Come on, i'll show you how to hunt."

As he started to be nicer her smile grew and she beamed to him. "Goody!" She chirped and wiggled. She was lucky she'd found someone good at hunting on her first try!
"So there are tasty squirrels in your forest.. except the trees all live too close to each other and the squirrels are fast climbers and I am not.." She frowned thoughtfully, turning to go back the way she came with the male in tow.
Eating squirrel meat sounded kind of disgusting.

Adamu just blinked. He couldn’t understand her at all. She must have been a loon. Shifting himself closer to her he spoke out as they padded to the woods.
“So where do you come from? Have any family?”
He wasn’t too comfortable with being in the woods still, after all… that is where his mother… died- but he always sucked it up in the end and acted like it never bothered him.
“I have never seen you before, so I was just wonderin.”

She blinked and glanced to him. Where did she come from? "I come from that direction." She pointed straight forward. "And I don't have a family." Well she'd be surprised to know just inside the lands lurked a sister that she never know about! Denge had passed on before telling her about any of her family.

Well- that didn’t help any… but he wouldn’t say anything. Maybe she was just.. different. Strange seemed too harsh. He stood for a moment, gazing off into the direction that she called home. That could be anywhere from this distance.
“I see..”
He muttered softly before moving ahead of her.
“Well, lets get going, I can show you how to hunt so long as you promise to stick around.”
He stopped again and wiggled his tail some.
“Do we have a deal?”

She purred and nodded. "Deal!" She giggled, happy that she finally had a place to stick around to. It would be good for her, having somewhere secure to stay.
