Si-Shen wingedbunnie Si-Shen @ wingedbunnie, that would be cool, I know that it will likely be some time however before I can take part in Home. Im stuck with dial-up for now and that poses issues sweatdrop As for the achievment points on the 360, I cant say that ever impressed me, I dont give a hoot about my "score" compared to some guy i have never heard of, however items to display appeal to me, cause people can see what ive done and its rather fun to have "items" as I love to display stuff. Numbers really are no fun to display and are boring. Seeing how another might have the same item as me would be cool but I could give a hoot about his numbered score. Aww. Well, you never know. There might be a dial-up option, or it could be possible to play singleplayer, as in wandering around, checking everything out, but being unable to chat with others or see others or something. My only problem is figuring out how to attach the PS3 to the internet without it being wireless... it's probably possible, but I'm not really looking forward to the hassle. Oh, yes. Even if all we get are trophies, I'd say that the PS3's "achievement" system beats the 360's. Achievements never interested me because I knew I'd never have the time or the money to spend on enough games and their specific requirements to get my points high enough to be worth anything. My other problem is that I can beat a game three times over without getting its achievements, only because the achievements it offers don't interest me game-wise. Like in Oblivion, my character was a loner (and a theif) through and through, so I ended up only getting 3 achievements from that game as I never joined any of the guilds. Did I still end up logging in over 200 hours of playtime? Yes. So, yeah. Achievements points are just not for me. sweatdrop It would be cool just to see an item or somethign that says you beat the game, or in Oblivions case, the main quest line (Ive logged 400+ hours into that game), I know that games like Assassin's Creed are full of acheivments on the 360 but honestly, who cares, just give some statue or something that says you beat the game or completed it with 100% or the bonus stuff, nothing spectacular, because you dont need that. I agree, although I think there should be a bit more in the way of items and rewards. You'll need at least one rediculously hard-to-get trophy that proves that some people played the game beyond just finishing it and getting the standard trophy, for instance. And while spectacularity isn't needed, it'd make the getting of the item that much more enjoyable. Come on, which would you honestly rather see in your virtual apartment, a standard block of wood with a readable plague that says this player has beaten Lair, or a gigantic golden dragon overlooking your balcony, with its bronze eyes watching your guests' every movement, and a large description of how this player pwned at Lair so bad, the dragon followed him home? Seriously.

Seriously. Very true, that would help a fair bit, as long as there was a way for the game to say "he has completed 100% of this or finished but only 80% 3nodding I doubt the things will be large however. I would rather have items then a point or achievment system, those things are less personal to me.

Unlucky Cookie Is the beta coming out soon? Yeah, there was already a closed beta, but I hear rumors of another one, maybe not closed, being sent out before it's officially released. I think the rumors point towards March, but don't get your hopes up. The March-bit isn't from the most reliable of sources. =/

Aww, sorry. I think the beta-testers were mostly developers and publishers and other important video gamers like that; I don't believe the invites would've been sent out to random members no matter how loyal they were.
Nobody knows for certain when Home will be launched, but Sony is getting closer and closer to a final, concise product. I don't think that Sony would drop this for any reason, they seem to feel far enough behind the online market as it is.

I doubt they will drop it, I went to see AVP2 in theatres and the PS3 had a new ad playing before the movie and it mentioned Home. Its just a matter of time, and they will have a good product for the user base.
