Should this guild enforce the necro rule?
7. Do not post in threads after the first page. AKA Necroing - 1 Warning Point
I can go both ways with this. On one hand, I do not think that it is necessary because on some days, the guild can be slow very fast, and one or two PGers may want to voice their opinion on a topic that has, without them noticing, moved past the front page. On the other hand, I believe that when a thread is three months old and some random person posts a bump, it does seem as though rule seven is a legitimate rule. I am also aware that this subforum does not support that rule.
What do you all think?

As far as the main forum goes, I don't honestly care if a thread becomes necroed. To be sure, I think the original reasoning behind that rule was to prevent already-voted-in polls from being revived. More fresh polls = more gold. If a poll you've already voted in comes back to the top, you can't very well vote in it again.
These days, of course, poll gold is worth next to nothing, and with the forums running a little slower than they used to, I barely even take the time to vote in my own polls, let alone every poll I see. It's just not worth the time or effort, however little there is required.

Hmmm...Well, if the topic they wanna post in has fallen off the first page, they can always make a new topic. 3nodding
And that is kinda the reason mods are required to make new polls. New topics get the guilds post count up or something... xD I don't really know. *stops rambling*

He had suggested that he meant should we enforce the rule in the Main Forum.
Camo - People always assume that we want Mods to make new threads to keep up the post count, but they are wrong. We want them to make new threads so there are fresh polls, for the polls whores to take. If we don't have fresh polls on the front page, then what is keeping the poll whores from leaving and going to MPL, for example?
I'm not quite fond of debating whether guild rules should be enforced or not, because that makes it seems like we're thinking of changing those rules, and we are not.
We've already made the necro rule be more lenient as we've seen fit, which was when we made the changeover from 1 hour to the first page (which is plenty more practical), and much more than that doesn't really seem necessary to me.
If someone is the only person on, and they have responded to/taken the polls for all the threads on the first page and they're looking for more, then all they need to do is make a new one for themselves, and help out the guild in the process. It's not all that hard, is it?~ I Love Kyle. ~

Everyone feel like stop posting in this thread? It was locked well over a month ago, and now there's been what, three posts I believe that have been posted and deleted since then.
Let it be, or it'll be deleted.~ I Love Kyle. ~
