..: Meith Foraois (Lush Forest), Home of the Centaurs and Cervitaurs :..
Haventree is, obviously, the hub city of Centaur life. Most young Centaurs are born and raised in Haventree, though they spend a lot of time exploring the rest of the island as they grow older. Though the easiest way to enter the Haventree valley is through the canyon to the west, there are also numerous mountain trails cutting out at all angles through the Elderachs.
The Elderach Mountains are a favorite hunting and playing ground for many Centaurs and Cervitaurs. There are also rumors of another race living within the high peaks of the mountains... but that's all I'm going to say about that for now!
wink Nivae's Forest was named after a prominent Brightstar tribe leader. Most Cervitaurs live in this lush northern forest, which is very much a natural paradise...
...however, the southern forest, known simply as the
Cursed Forest, is violently different from Nivae's Forest. While the outskirts of this forest contain many beasts that the Taurs hunt for food, supplies, and skill, the deeper parts of the forest are very dangerous. The trees have formed a thick canopy that blocks out almost all natural light. Very dark and deadly creatures are said to reside there, and more than one Taur has been killed while adventuring through.
The Isle of Exiles is home to those Taurs who have been cast out of their tribes, for whatever reason. Normal Centaurs and Cervitaurs are forbidden to travel here to interact with the exiles, though some often do... particularly those who may have loved ones who were sent out from the tribe.
And finally,
the human settlements along the northwest coast have recently been established. Centaurs such as Maia Proudtail have been making journeys to these camps to build friendship and trust with the humans, though many Taurs are still wary of humans invading their homes.
Of course, you all are free to make up your own places on the island. ^_^ These are just general areas to get started with.
And in case anyone was wondering, though the Cattaurs, Foxtaurs, and Wolftaurs DO live on different islands, it is still possible for one species to visit another. The Taurs have learned to craft boats... though they are still quite new at the trade, and their boats would never serve to travel to anywhere else except the few islands in the area.
