Takeshi blinked as he wrapped his arms around his sister, "Tell dad that I won't help him make jell-o and that the directions are right on the freaken box!" He said with a sigh as he looked at his sister. "How've you and er-mom been?" His voice quieted down when he noticed Kirie with a little bundle that obviously wasn't their dads.
Kenji huffed when he stood up, brushing off his shorts and plopped down next to his daughter. "Reika! Your brother is being mean to me." His gaze shifted to Kirie, his head tilted when he saw a bundle in Kirie's arms. Kenji decided not to say anything but to pretend like he didn't see anything. "Kirie! Help me out!"
He sighed as he put the jell-o in the fridge; looking outside for the first time to see Nari reading his book so peacefully outside. With a smile Toshio decided to make a glass of lemonade for his mate. "Nari sure will love lemonade, it's sweet yet bitter at the same time!" He made his way outside and sat down next to Mitsunari, holding out the glass for him.

"Taki-bear you're so cruel to daddy!" Reika admonished playfully as she took the box from whoever had it at the moment. "Of course you're going to help him make it! Its your son-duties." She seemed gravely serious even though she wasn't'.
""H-help you with what?" Kirie asked tilting his head slightly as Alexandrite hid behind his skirt, scared of these new men that weren't her father.
Mitsunari had been so distracted that he hadn't noticed when Toshio had sat beside him at first, it took a few minutes but the strategist finally looked up. "Oh, good afternoon Toshio."

"I brought you some lemonade, i hope you like it." Toshio said as he held out the glass, wondering if he would take it. "I'm sorry if I disturbed your reading, I just thought you would like a little treat."
Kenji pouted, "To get Takeshi to make me jell-o, you're his mother!" His gaze drifted to Alexandrite and a small smile appeared on his face. "Hello there little one I'm Kenji."
Takeshi sighed as he let go of his sister, compleatly shocked. "You're my only sister! Don't sell me out like that! I thought you we're on my side."

"Oh, its no trouble, I was merely reviewing Sun Tzu's Art of War once again." Mitsunari shrugged as he took the glass quickly slightly worried Toshio would drop it and the book would be ruined; his mate was a clumsy little foxling.
Alexandrite frowned and buried her face in her mother's dress, too shy to speak. "I don't think Takeshi would want to listen to me Kenji." Kirie spoke softly but didn't look over at the boy.
"I am on your side when you're not being mean to our poor old daddy!" Reika stated in a matter of fact tone as she wagged her finger at her brother.

"Again? How many times have you reviewed that book?" He asked Nari as his eyes began to skim the pages, finding it kinda interesting.
"You never know he might listen to his mother," Kenji shrugged as he looked down at the girl. "Am I really that scary? Takeshi, listen to your sister."
"Bull! He knows how to make jell-o he made me some when I was little." He pouted with a sigh, all the while rolling his eyes.

"Quite a few times, I find it quite interesting, though I prefer reading other things.. Its more like studying when I look this over since I basically know it by heart." Mitsunari explained as he looked back to Toshio not really believing the boy would be interested.
"No, I know he won't.' Kirie shook his head and sighed as Alexi shook her head.
"Not scary, a stranger."
"But he wants to bond with you!" Reika protested with a frown.

"No, he just wants me to make him his jell-o because he's to lazy." Takeshi protested back with a frown.
"Yes he will, so pllllleaaaase just try?" He pouted, hoping it would be enough to convince Kirie.
"Then if you know it by heart then why do you need to study it?" Toshio asked as he read more, finding everything kinda exiting. It made him want to read more, much much more.

"Taki bear, just get it over with and make him jello! Don't whine so much." Reika teased as she began to drag him off to the kitchen; she had never cooked for herself so she didn't know how to cook it herself. "Besides I want to learn!"
"See, you didn't need me, Reika is pushery." Kirie pointed out as he watched the two teens dissapear down the hall.
"You should never give up the chance to study just because you think you know something by heart, there is always a chance that you've missed something small." Mitsunari tried to explain but he knew it would be lost on Toshio.

"Reika! All you have to do is boil water and add it to the powder then add cold water, stir it and leave it in the fridge for like four hours...it's not that hard!" He replied with a heavy sigh while being dragged from his comfortable seat. "Here, you make it and I'll step in if you do something wrong."
Kenji laughed to himself as he took Takeshi's seat, "I love my children, especially when I'm to lazy to make something for myself."
He nodded idly as his fingers flipped the page, amused by the details of war the book had to offer and kinda realizing why Nari was the way he was. War planning was tedious and confusing but at the same time it was very enjoyable to read.
