paradoxal_gemini xBlue07 I think that Mello's lack of emotion from then on showed how much he did care. I dunno if anyone else noticed, but once Mello heard that Matt died, it was almost a complete shift in attitude. Normally Mello is all "rawr!" but once he saw the news, he was relatively contemplative the rest of the time he was alive. At east that's what I observed. Although a little more man-love between Matt and Mello would have been greatly appreciated. Pretty much my view of it. Mello really became...*shoots self* mellow after he found out about Matt's death. And really, would he have apologized to anyone else? Even if his reaction wasn't big, there was a reaction, and seeing as there weren't many other people...other than L and possibly Near, that he cared about. Maybe that was the biggest reaction he could create? O.o He's a complex little chocolate-eating guy. He reacted pretty strongly about L's death (his face went all eek and he was gaping and practically attacking people hehe) so I admit I was kind of disappointed at the flatness of his reaction. But then again, L died when he was almost 15 and when Matt dies he's already twenty, so that's why it probably wasn't quite the same.

One of those sappy first love, unrequited all that jazz things...only this is Mello so it would have to have been way more explosive and angry...

well i was actually satisfied with mellos reaction. since hes usually someone whos only emotion is anger, for him to apologize was a nice surprise. for the situation he was in, i dont think it would of made much sense for him to cry or be very emotional.

Mello didn't seem like the type to apologize... ever... about anything. The fact that he did was kind of shocking.

*ponders*...maybe it was one of those "i'll apolojize now...then after i'm done with killing this b***h and saveing the world i'll kill my self and make it up to you (with hard core crazy man on man butt smex) in the after life" kinda things...

I think his response was pretty good. I mean, they should have put a bit more emotion into it, but I thought it was pretty good. Especially for how his personality is. Yes, he was upset because his best friend died, but mellos kinda not the type to cry. But, yes, apologizing kinda did seem his type. But anyways, yes I thought it was pretty good.

Ls_heir_near yeah what he should have done was shoot takada then go after halle shoot her and then break down in tears about matts death NO that would be kinda weird I mean Mello is tring to be the tough guy so i dont think he would cry. but yes he should have shoot takada and then went to kill near. LOL
