Davey smiled at Raist, few ever saw the ocean like this and lived to tell about it the sea was peaceful this far down making it easy to forget the storm raging above, sound was different down here, things were distorted and Davey wondered if Raist would be able to understand him, but it was worth a shop "be 'ea be 'ery 'i'eren bow' ere, new ol worl' eh? ife you ight ever seen" Translation: 'The sea be very different down here, new whole world eh? Life you might never seen' Davey motioned to the pod of dolphin they had seen earlier, the pod was now attacking a large shark who had come to close

Raistlin nodded softly, eyes watching the sea creatures attack one another. Most assumed Dolphins were the easy going playfull ones of the sea. Who would've guessed they'd attack the predator of the sea? Raistlin knew, never take everything at face value. He was living proof of that.
He nodded again. He could've cast a complicated spell, to enable speaking through mind, or another source. But he didnt want to waste the energy, he wanted to enjoy the view.

The crew moved around the ship securing everything in place then headed down below deck pushed out the oars and started rowing to propel the ship forward the water where they were was far warmer than at the surface, almost comfortably so, small streams of water could be seen rushing to the surface from small tubes on the ocean floor "are beh e hea' o e o'ean, a eep a sea a 'ive" Translation: 'There be the heat of the ocean, ta keep the sea alive'

The mage nodded gently, and held out a hand, because of the spell he'd cast over himself, he could somewhat feel the water rush between his outstretched fingers. His spell covered his clothing, like a layer of selophane, allowing movement, but he remained un-laden down by wet robes. He was at peace. This sea, was always alive. Yes fish died before his eyes, but other fish appeared, it was a quicker cycle of life, it was a less depressing aspect of his curse. For the first time, in probly his entire life, he was calm.

Davey kept quiet allowing Raist to take the sea in, this was the part that couldn't be said in words, instead he gave the deck a stomp with his false leg to summon his pet for Raist to meet, within moments the giant squid emerges from the distant depth staring the ship down with with its massive eye waiting for instructions, it could easily over take the ship, but it on waited

Raistlin took a step back, as the gigantic squid emerged. Instinctively he looked to Davey, and since the squid wasnt attacking, he didnt overly fear it. He was cautious of it, all creatures deserved respect, and he showed this one, respect. He bowed his head to the squid, and watched it. Given its magnitude, and the fact he'd been staring at it for a good ten minutes and it had yet to decay, he figured this beast, was an immortal. There were many magical, immortal creatures. they didnt die, they hibernated when they'd grown tired of peoples stupidity. But they surfaced later. They always did.

Davey couldn't help but laugh at Raist whom he had caught off guard, but in the water it came out as an odd bubbling sound he then put his tenticled hand out and stroked the squid "e be ay et" Translation: 'he be my pet' Davey smiled at Raist clearly proud of his pet, he then patted the squid who took it as a cue to leave having accomplished whatever it was Davey had wanted

Raistlin, nodded. He'd gathered as much. From their conversations, and what Davey has said, he assumed the squid was a pet. That and you know, it didnt devour them, when clearly it could. He watched the ocean life swim past, as though they were a natural thing below the water, he couldnt help but smile lightly at himself, and the situations he got himself into.

Davey smirked, he had done it, Raist may or may not be able to teach Davey magic, but Davey had won his prize, When he first met Raist he thought there would be gold or gems to get out of him, then as Raist said his wealth was in magic, Davey thought his staff might be a decent prize, but the staff was far more valuable with magic which Davey didn't posses, now Davey realizes that the true prize is Raists power and even though Davey can't separate that from the man he can wield it through the man. How easily others are fooled by power and smooth talk, he had won Raists power by winning his friendship. Davey may never need Raists aid, he already had a powerful lover and a powerful ship and crew, but it never hurt to have a little more, and with the vastness of Raists power it was unlikely that Raist would ever call on Davey for aid. Yes a little more patience and time and the deal would be sealed. This went better than Davey could have hoped for. "O at oo yeh hin o ma orl" Translation: 'So what do yeh think o mah world?'

It was a good thing, Raistlin was not a mind reader, if he had the slightest inclination, he was a prize. Well, lets just say it would not end well. He watched things swim by, and nodded once to Davey. He lifted his staff, and wrote in the water with the tip of it. "You must have a wonderful woman, to leave a world like this" he 'said' with a smirk on his maw.
