I actually proposed this in a separate thread, but I decided to place it here so more users, especially guild mods could view it. The reason why I came up with this idea is because it seems that a lot of users no longer wish to use the marketplace to buy/sell items for whatever reason.

That's why I thought that a separate guild subforum devoted completely to buying and selling items would benefit all Purple Penguin users. A Purple Penguin Exchange will allow members a way to safely buy and sell items off each other if they decide they don't wish to use the marketplace, or if they have any reservations over using the main gaia exchange.

There is already a guild subforum for item exchanges, but it also includes art and other shops as well. However, since the subforum combines both art and exchange shops, I believe it may eventually become too complicated for users that simply want to use this forum as an item exchange. Since there does seem to be an increasing demand for an item exchange subforum especially with changes in the marketplace, I think it might be more practical to use a forum devoted only to an item exchange.

A Purple Penguin Exchange devoted solely to items I believe can benefit all Purple Penguin users, including users other than those that simply don't want to use the marketplace anymore. For instance, if a user still wishes to use the marketplace, they will be allowed to use the same subforum to announce what items they're selling. This subforum can also be used as a place for users to advertise in items they're interested in purchasing.

I included a poll that will allow users to state whether or not they're interested in a Purple Penguin Exchange forum. I thought this would allow Purple Penguin users to state their intentions of whether they agree with this concept, or if they feel that the Guild construction should stay the way it is. You can also post below about whether you agree or disagree with this idea.

Please note I am not a guild moderator, and I do not have the power to implement this idea myself. However, I am hoping that if there is enough of a demand, then guild moderators will take notice and create a seperate forum for Purple Penguin users to use as an item exchange.
