I got a 91 on my first accounting test.
At first I was surprised until I realized what I missed.
Two of the questions I missed were ones I originally had the right answers to, but then I over analyzed them and changed them. Damn you teachers and your mind ********. (I switched the definitions of ledger and trial balance by the way. I ended up putting ledgers were summeries of accounts to prepare for financial sheets and trial balances as accounts and there balances. Please tell me that it is not completely stupid error.)
Another one was what sheet has earning and dividends on it. There was balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows, statement of owner's equity, and none of the above.
I put none of the above because statment of retained earnings has dividends and earnings, and not common stock like owner's equity.
I got it wrong. T.T (Mind ******** I tells ya)
I also made a stupid mistake of selecting the income statement is the change of cash due from operations instead of the change of earnings one.
Another thing that pissed me off is that he had a question where if someone gave you land instead of cash for common stock what do you put on the books. The land had a historical cost of 20,000 and a market value of 100.000. There was those choices plus an 80,000 choice, and one stating that you couldn't put those down and you should sell the land to determine value.
The answer was market value, when I put that you should sell the land. Just because market value is something, doesn't mean people will buy it for that. The teacher stresses that several times and then puts market value as the answer. b***h.

91? You did well. I give you pat on head.
Now, what you're going to want to do for your next test is review your old test, especially the problems you missed. Rework them.
I have weather changing induced congestion brain fog so I can't make heads or tails of the accounting stuff so don't worry I'll look it over later and it'll make sense. But I'm sure your errors weren't entirely retarded.

StationWagon my brain just kinda imploded from reading this..... I'm happy to hear that. Not out of maliciousness, per se. But because if people don't get accounting then people like me who do get it (when we aren't brain fogged) can make more monies off of it.
